  • Today's video is a full explanation of 30 Days Of Night (Full Timeline). I really enjoyed this movie and I thought it was a fresh take on vampires, it gave us something different. While the movie didn't exactly set the world alight for critics, it certainly went down really well the fans of the vampire genre and has been one of my most requested videos to date so I thought it was definitely time to visit this franchise for an explanation video. So let’s take a look.

One of my favorite vampire movies. Glad to see that these vampires are more like their original monstrous depictions, we need more frightening vampire movies and shows (Like The Strain).

Midnight mass is a great example of a monstrous vampire. I recommend it

I really liked this movie...it's a shame it didn't get the credit it deserved. It was an original idea that was well pulled off. Thank you for covering it

Because the ending was BS. There is no way this boy could have defeated one of the oldest of them - think Underworld. Look beyond this film for better Vampire movies.

Please do Renfield next. That movie is both funny and give an important inspirational message of to b strong against those domesticlly abusers. Rather it's a spouse or a boss that's always breaking your spirit. But their really nothing without their human punching bag. Like I said, Renfield is both funny and inspiring.

What never made sense to me, was how after all the vampires leave or are defeated, all the people in burrow come out from hiding
This never made sense to me because the vampires literally searched everywhere and tore through houses/stores. How were that many people able to hide out for so long?

So you'd be amazed how well people are at hiding when survival is involved.
Remember, we as a species weren't always the apex predators in our early evolution. Nor in our lives as a people either.
We have an instinctual urge/need to hide when we know we can't fight. Especially against ungodly demonic foes such as the vampires in the movie.
      One key crucial thing. *Snow.*
The snow absorbs sound like nothing else. Sound simply gets absorbed into the surrounding snow, and silenced even more with the howling wind. If you did or haven't grown up or lived in snowy areas you wouldn't have knowledge about this.
As well as the natives would be crafty as all heck living that up north. The land is rough and makes the people rougher and hardier too.
Focus for the townspeople immediately shifted into survival through hiding in every nook and cranny they can. Specifically as seen under the buildings, and in hideaways outsiders wouldn't know about. Plus they know how long they can last out in the cold. Taking shifts outside in order to throw the horde of hell for a loop.
Locking buildings, and opening others. Making makeshift survival spots, and communication being heavily limited.
Plus you saw the sadistic bloodlust of the vampires at play too. Full and fat with blood they're smarter. Being even a little hungry they get simply sloppy and sadistic. Referencing the one woman they use as bait. It's smart and really thought out. But the moment they don't get anything FROM ONE ATTEMPT ONLY DOWN MAIN STREET they then sadistically just turn into animals slashing her to pieces to satiate their collective bloodlust.
They're superhuman dipsticks. Fueled solely by hunger and sadism. They're crafty and smart, but not all the time.
Hiding from these things is difficult, but not impossible. Especially when they're hangry.

Really liked this movie, probably one of the best depictions of vampires, more wild animals than man but still smart, didn't know there was a movie sequel (I think I did read the comic sequel though)

This movie is the only movie that ever gave me nightmares. I was pregnant and working at a movie theater when this came out, and if you have been pregnant then you know that you have the craziest dreams. And I friggin did, for 6 months I had the scariest dreams. Its the only movie I still can't watch lol. Even watching special features and behind the scenes, this movie terrified me and I still can't get through it 😭

While watching the film, we DON"T KNOW all these things you mention. That's why it's suspenseful. Because we don't know. We don't know the un-named character is a "familiar", as you put it. Wouldn't it make sense to discuss the movie as events unfold, not before?

Even thought the movie was trash & the show didn’t explore like I wanted you should totally do a video on the vampires from “Vampire academy” they have some of the most interesting lore but no one seems to execute it right on screen imo. The show was slightly better than the movie but still I know you could break it down so much better!!
