"Jones’ life, as revealed in the texts, is overshadowed by a sense of isolation. He appears to chat with almost no one who could be described as a friend, disentangled from his activism or Infowars work. Nearly everyone with whom he corresponds, outside of a few people in his family, connects with Jones through their relationship to Infowars, either as an employee or as another pro-Trump influencer. He sends and receives messages with more than 120 people who fit that description. Jones speaks with over 40 people who provide what could be described as personal services to him, like his personal trainer.
Hatewatch has divided our reporting on the texts into a series. This story is part one, and it focuses on what the messages reveal about Jones’ life without the cover of his performance on Infowars. Hatewatch reached out to Jones for a comment on this investigation by text and email. He did not respond, and appeared to block this Hatewatch reporter's phone number. We will update the story if he decides to provide comment after publication."

I don’t think we should celebrate someone’s pain because that makes us stoop to Jones’ level. But I’m not begrudging anyone who is, because Jones has been so damaging to civic life. I just feel conflicted, because I almost feel like the expected response is to cheer, like Cenk is doing. I feel like people will think I’m supporting Jones if I’m not cheering, when I’m absolutely not. I’m an avid listener of Knowledge Fight and I know the kind of vile things Jones says. God, I hate having empathy sometimes, but I can’t deny it - seeing someone’s private unravelling like that isn’t easy, no matter how vile the person is.

If his lawyers "backdoored" Alex on purpose, that was a stupid move. If their incompetence exposed their client, then those lawyers have opened themselves up for a lawsuit from Alex. Those lawyers, ( while turning over the contents of Alex's cellphone ), still had a "duty" to protect their client from exposure on these other fronts. Alex may be able to recoup some of his financial losses, by suing his lawyers, for their legal malpractice. What incredible stupidity!! Where did Jones find his lawyers? TikTok?

I find myself incapable of laughing over this revelation (more along the lines of Jenk's "OF COOUURRSE!" feelings along with rolling my eyes), but I highly doubt this makes me a better person.
