The year when Latvia REALLY should have won ❤️
YEEEES
Latvia is in my top 3 in 2002. In such a weak year, it does stand out. But in 2000, Latvia should've swiped the floor by a clear mile. I really like Denmark too, but Latvia is way more creative. FOTWOL is a type of song we've heard many times (usually from Denmark or Ireland) and in some instances, done better. My Star is very unique. It should have won.
Latvia 2000 is my favorite entry of the entire 21st century
You realize 2000 is the last year of the 20th century, right?
@@gg454lune ok boomer
@@linusplacek4824 Very clever. I'm not that old, anyway.
*Fun Fact:* Latvia 2000 representer & 2002 Latvia's winner Maria N was hosts in the ESC 2003 😂🇹🇷❤🇱🇻
Renars and Marie
Ooohh be happy!

Yes the 1999-2002 period has to be the weakest stretch in ESC history but 2000 is by far the best year from this period imo. In the other years assembling a top 5 is actually a bit of a challenge to me, whereas I love all songs in my top 10 in 2000:
12p: 🇩🇰 Denmark - Olsen Brothers - Fly On The Wings Of Love
10p: 🇸🇪 Sweden - Roger Pontare - When Spirits Are Calling My Name
8p: 🇭🇷 Croatia - Goran Karan - Kad zaspu anđeli
7p: 🇪🇸 Spain - Serafín Zubiri - Colgado de un sueño
6p: 🇱🇻 Latvia - BrainStorm - My Star
5p: 🇮🇪 Ireland - Eamonn Toal - Millennium Of Love
4p: 🇩🇪 Germany - Stefan Raab - Wadde hadde dudde da?
3p: 🇷🇴 Romania - Taxi - Luna
2p: 🇦🇹 Austria - The Rounder Girls - All To You
1p: 🇷🇺 Russia - Alsou - Solo
Croatia been robbed in many year but never to the same level of this year

Calling Latvia a weak voice and placing Israel 2nd at the same time...
@@jflower2086 this is my opinion... And for me, israel is very funny And catchy (i don't know why everyone hate this)
Israel and North Macedonia chose horrible songs
Probably the worst year in Eurovision history!
(My Star is a great song though)
Omg, 2000-2001-2002 (and even 1998-99, from my point of view) must be the darkest period of ESC's history. Full of terrible songs and only few songs which were worth it.
Wtf they were literally the best years
