    what is the difference between winter and spring in atlanta

    • @movingtoatlantaga
      @movingtoatlantaga  5 месяцев назад +1

      Winter is very short and mild. We do have many days with below freezing temperatures, but it really doesn't last long. Spring lasts a long time - we have lots and lots of pollen in the spring because we have tons of flowering trees, shrubs and plants.

      Hi @fajardarmawan7558! April is spring in Atlanta. It's a month where the weather can be all over the place. We often will have late cold blasts in the spring. Usually most people say it's not safe to put new plants in the ground until after April 15.

    Biloxi Mississippi is more bipolar than y’all weather. It’s 40 degrees In Atlanta one day and 60 degrees the next day. Here in Biloxi, it’s 50 degrees one day and 75 degrees the next.

      We've had a really weird spring where it will be 80 one day and 45 the next. It's not the norm, though.

      @@movingtoatlantaga Biloxi is worse. Are summers get hot but y’all get hotter because y’all are inland. We’re on the coast and we get that Gulf of Mexico breeze to cool us off a little bit. We had a hot April in 2022, it was in the 80s a lot, we’re also south of Atlanta so… we average 65 inches of rain a year.

      Hey! Thanks for watching. According to Accuweather.com, in January 2023 we got one day of below freezing weather - on 1/15/23 the low was 29 and in February 2023 the coldest day was 2/18 with a low of 29 degrees. Most of the days in both Jan and Feb were lows of mid 40s-50s.

    Correct me if I’m wrong but I think that in Atlanta you don’t have the dry winter air like in the midwest, were your lips gets super dry. in Atalanta the air is always humid enough and that’s a big pro!

    • @movingtoatlantaga
      @movingtoatlantaga  Год назад +1

      That is correct. I spent a few years in Chicago and when that freezing air gets bone dry, your hair stands on end, you get shocked by every doorknob, your sinuses feel like a Sahara sand dune, and your lips start to crack!

      @@movingtoatlantaga Basically Atlanta is one of the warmest and wettest places that you can still experience the 4 seasons.
