An appeals court ruling the former Hollywood heavyweight producer did not receive a fair trial. But his accusers and activists have slammed the move as a major step backwards.
The U.S. Supreme Court seems ready to rule that former President Donald Trump should have some level of immunity from criminal prosecution. The final ruling would amount to a major statement on the scope of presidential power - but the judges could instruct lower courts to review the case against Mr Trump, who's accused of plotting to overturn the 2020 election result.
