It states clearly that Abraham later heard about his brother Nahor's children. By its omission of saying the information came from Nahor, we *know that it didn't* and so we know he learned it from a random encounter with an unimportant traveler who happened to be an acquaintance of both of them. We thus know that Abraham did not learn about Nahor's children as soon as they were born, and thus you cannot construct an age for Rebekah around that. (Not to mention that no 3-year-old could water ten camels - which takes well over *1000 pounds* of water!) The Bible doesn't give us a statement on Joseph's age. But we know from the Bible that he got around quite well (back and forth through Samaria, Judea, and Egypt) and so he was a *fit* man. So an age of 90 is implausible.

As the recent research of the manuscripts comes to light, the more difficult for Islamic scholars to continue to make those claims. It may take a while since most Muslims do not really research and textual criticism is fairly new when it comes to the Quran, but it will continue to dismantle the traditional Islamic manuscript myth.

And the fact that there are several historical works by people such as Flavius Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, and Suetonius, to name a few- which reference to the early Christians and/or that there was a persecution of the Christians and that their Christ was crucified. I love the fact that Flavius Josephus, especially, has such attention to historic detail which would obliterate any such claims of there being an Israel who worshipped “Allah” and had a Kaaba stone which they walked around a couple times or ANY other of crazy claims I’ve heard from the book of Quran. Josephus who wasn’t even a Christian who wrote objectively and lengthily As possible to make sure the Jewish history and or facts would not be erased or twisted (since he noticed at the time there were some such as Nicholas of Damascus who were making fictitious claims about certain details of the past history of mankind). Apparently there were quite several historians even in different areas who cared to detail things as a preservation to those who would come in the future and wanted to understand the past. Josephus quite literally puts up with no crap and calls out the false details and corrects them. I can’t believe he wrote 12 VOLUMES of information. I have been weaving through it and I have encountered fascinating information to say the least. Let me just say, it doesn’t look good for Islam whatsoever. They might as well change their story of correlating to the Jewish people and just be upfront that it’s a completely different religion. There’s no saving face for it at this point I guess. For me I care more about the content of the Qur'an rather than the preservation. I see the Quran as a whole is rubbish regardless of being preserved or not; What's the point of Rubbish being preserved?

It has obviously been edited by many people, and over many years. It contains many contradictions, and many errors of fact. Not just the Quran, but also the old/New Testament textually establish tauheed(monotheism). So, then why believe in trinity and associate two imaginary parts to Allah(one/indivisible/Self-Sufficient/All-Loving)? How could your love/worship be undivided/exclusive for Allah(the most Exalted) when there are two other equally unique/perfect entities to adore? The verses of bible used by trinitarians are extremely vague and require hard interpretation to extract the understanding that Father/Son/Holy Ghost are Co-equal/Co-Eternal&distinct.

What you failed to understand is that Quran is preserved in the hearts of the believers. When a Jew asked the Prophet (pbuh) to show the Quran he showed his companion Abdullah ibn Maswud who was a prominent Hafiz or the protector, meaning he memorised the whole Quran from the Prophet. There were hundreds of companions who had memorised the whole Quran at the time of prophet passed away. The manuscripts were written based on this memorisation. The Hafiz al Quran taught this to next generation and it continued until today. There are millions of Hafiz al Quran around the world, all reciting the quran without missing a dot. There is a special Islamic tradition until today to learn to recite exactly same way the Prophet (pbuh) recited. This is what Quran repeatedly says 54:22 But We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? Moreover the verse 15:9 you mentioned. We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption) Please note the Arabic word 'Haafidhoon' in this verse meaning guards is the same terminology used for those who memorised the whole Quran. Copying of manuscripts would have some human errors as it happened in the Gospels which Jay Smith had categorically agreed in his debate with Dr Shabir Aly that Gospels were edited and modified by the scribes with human errors and it's not inspired or the word of God but the word of God is only Jesus (?).

A thousand extra alifs have been added to the Quran, but when these were first added they didn't want to change the underlying text so instead of writing full alifs they wrote what are called dagger alifs. We can find one of these in the very first surah of the Quran in verse 2 we find of the worlds/universe ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ look carefully at this word and you see only three full long lines. Look very very closely and reading right to left just before the third long stroke there is in this version a thin little line (in other versions it looks a little like an exclamation mark). The problem with this is that people don't use these dagger alifs when writing normal Arabic - they use them when someone has missed out an alif that should be in the text. so, with the dagger alifs, it looks like someone has been correctlin Allah's spelling. For this reason quranwow.com has now rewritten the text with full alifs so now the word reads الْعَالَمِين with four clear long strokes. This does not in Muslim minds, alter the meaning of the text, but it clearly shows where the alifs were added in the past and the modern version, when contrasted with old shows the difference clearly. Muslims that do find themselves having to comment on this try to claim that it makes no difference, but other scholars suggest that it might have other reasons for such changes - namely that it actually obscures the meaning of the underlying text in many places and that some, at least, of the words and phrases are not really Arabic at all, but Aramaic.

It states clearly that Abraham later heard about his brother Nahor's children. By its omission of saying the information came from Nahor, we *know that it didn't* and so we know he learned it from a random encounter with an unimportant traveler who happened to be an acquaintance of both of them. We thus know that Abraham did not learn about Nahor's children as soon as they were born, and thus you cannot construct an age for Rebekah around that.

What you failed to understand is that Quran is preserved in the hearts of the believers. When a Jew asked the Prophet (pbuh) to show the Quran he showed his companion Abdullah ibn Maswud who was a prominent Hafiz or the protector, meaning he memorised the whole Quran from the Prophet.
There were hundreds of companions who had memorised the whole Quran at the time of prophet passed away. The manuscripts were written based on this memorisation. The Hafiz al Quran taught this to next generation and it continued until today. There are millions of Hafiz al Quran around the world, all reciting the quran without missing a dot.
There is a special Islamic tradition until today to learn to recite exactly same way the Prophet (pbuh) recited. This is what Quran repeatedly says

Why would an angel speak as God himself?
Because this "messenger" was God's very Word, Jesus, the only begotten of the Father.
Not one letter of the Quran has been changed? Then why do we find a thousand extra alifs that were added to the Quran? A thousand extra alifs have been added to the Quran, but when these were first added they didn't want to change the underlying text so instead of writing full alifs they wrote what are called dagger alifs. We can find one of these in the very first surah of the Quran in verse 2 we find of the worlds/universe ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ look carefully at this word and you see only three full long lines. Look very very closely and reading right to left just before the third long stroke there is in this version a thin little line (in other versions it looks a little like an exclamation mark). The problem with this is that people don't use these dagger alifs when writing normal Arabic - they use them when someone has missed out an alif that should be in the text. so, with the dagger alifs, it looks like someone has been correctlin Allah's spelling.
For this reason quranwow.com has now rewritten the text with full alifs so now the word reads الْعَالَمِين with four clear long strokes. This does not in Muslim minds, alter the meaning of the text, but it clearly shows where the alifs were added in the past and the modern version, when contrasted with old shows the difference clearly.
Muslims that do find themselves having to comment on this try to claim that it makes no difference, but other scholars suggest that it might have other reasons for such changes - namely that it actually obscures the meaning of the underlying text in many places and that some, at least, of the words and phrases are not really Arabic at all, but Aramaic.
