  • If you're dropper post is sticking and you're having to give a tug to get it unstuck and working, watch this video. Even though this is for a Fox Transfer Dropper Post, most other modern posts use the same mechanism.

Couple of notes. 1) The small ball bearing at the lower/backside post can fall out, so open it up over a towel and pluck it out. 2) When putting it back together, insert the inner into the outer and partially pull back out to insert the pins and have them hold and not bend them.

I followed this procedure twice, no success the post was actually slower to return. Then I noticed the cable has an adjuster at the bar end - bingo! Post now works better than ever 😃. I guess the cable had just stretched and needed tensioned to actuate the post mechanism fully. Could be a quick fix for others experiencing same problem.

Great quick breakdown. I also found that using a little “ fork boost “ seal cleaner on the post works well about every other ride. Apply, cycle the post 5-6 times. Wipe down and repeat. 🫶

So unless it is a new 2024 Transfer post, there is no schraeder valve to add pressure to I guess, from what I've read. You just increase or decrease the lever cable tension?
