Much better than the official instructions on how to remove the bumper. Thank you.👍 I have to do this just to replace the HID ballast on the headlight, as you may be aware they are mounted to the underside of the headlight unit and you have to remove the headlight to gain access to them. Just been Quoted £1,300.00 to have it done at the Citroen garage (1,042.00 just for the 2 ballasts)!!! I don't mind the £250 labour charge but £521 per ballast is extortion as I just bought 2 OEM valeo ballasts for £54 including postage. Now that I know there is no heavy lifting involved (I'm disabled) I can do it myself without risking falling over. Once again THANK YOU.
You're welcome my friend, I'm very happy to hear that it helped you, that's the main point of my videos, a lot of jobs on the cars can be done at home and with the necessarily tools by anyone, no one needs to pay hundreds of dollars or euros to do it in the shops if there's no need for that
@@HOWTODO0828 Just a little update: If you have HID Xenon headlights you will also have head lamp washers which makes it a little more complicated as you need to unclip the pipes, leading from the washer bottle, from the bumper before you can put the bumper on the ground. I found that out today. I also took the opportunity to clean and lube the bonnet release cable @ 6:30
Gee....I always wondered about that. Kudos for doing the job with one hand. 😂👍👍👍👍👍 Say, have you ever done a forced regeneration on the DPF? Does it work? Tried a couple of times on mine, and ...even though it does rev up and smoke comming from the back, after a while it returns the message "completed with errors". And the quantity of soot before and after remains the same. You make anything out of it?
Hello mate, if any forced regeneration for dpf it's not working its because the dpf has reached his limit, it is too dirty and full of ash and its recommended to remove it and take it to professionals to clean it and if it's not repairable you have to replace it.
@@HOWTODO0828 ....well, see.....that's the interesting part: at around the same time of the forced regen, I made a long trip, and I had the diagbox connected on the way, monitoring the soot accumulating in the DPF, and I caught it when it did regenerate on it's own, while driving. It showed the grams of soot going down, and the temperature reaching 520°C. Even though in the exhaust page it mentions "kilometers until replacement = ~60.000", it does regenerate while driving. It just doesn't want to do it standing. Any ideas? 👍👍
Yes, the regeneration process tarts on its own and it can be while moving or idling, in both situations you don't stop the engine, and it's better to take it for a ride and drive it more agresive, the 3 th gear at three thousand rpm at least.
@@HOWTODO0828 ....well thanks for the feedback, but in my case the car did exactly what is advertised by the factory: regenerate on it's own while I was driving steadily at around 60 kph with 4th gear. I was at around 1500 rpm, and it worked great. I will agree with you that driving with a bit higher rpm will rise the temperature a bit more, and thus have better regeneration, but the troubling part of the story is that it never wants to regenerate through the diagnostic app. Go figure. Thanks for the feedback though. Much obliged. 👍👍👍👍
Perfectly shown all details to remove it. Thanks very much!
You're welcome 🙏
