Lotus invited me down to Caffeine and Machine to drive some of their cars one last time. I took out the Lotus Evora GT140, a car I've not driven before. My car for the journey was my Peugeot e208 and I took the opportunity to do a range test.

Fascinating to see the real world scenario of predicted range in an electric car and actual range achievable.
I share your hope that the Evora replacement is everything we all hope for as it may be their last petrol engined sports car.
Ps. the camera feature was very interesting as well.
I’ve got my fingers crossed, rumors are it’s pretty good. Glad you didn’t get too bored with the camera stuff 👍🏻
Who's looking forward to the replacement? Could it be the next great drivers car?
Where is your 812? I wached a 812 review by autotop NL and he said it is his favourite car, I would like to see more contet of that beast, its awesome.
@@miguelbermudez4886 it will come, been clocking up the miles and enjoying myself
Another great video.
Really need to try get myself a spin in a Lotus some day! In love with them, but sadly see next to none in Ireland :(
Final drive. Never knew you had one !!!
More, it’s getting discontinued
"Immediatly connected to the car". Sam, it' s à Lotus🤩🤣👍
Absolutely 😂🤘🏻
Nice video! You could also review the Mahindra Roxor.
Liked this video style although the title did make me wonder when you owned one for this to be your final drive.
I do really like the look of that 208 - looking at VW ID3's at the moment - did you? Seeing Lotus cars always makes me miss my S2 Elise 😭
Yeah I looked at the ID3 as well, at the time it was a bit more expensive and I wasn't really a fan of the exterior/interior
It can charge at up to 100kw (one of the major benefits over honda e/zoe) so it was probably the charger.
As a side note. In normal mode I'm sure I remember reading you only get 100bhp in normal mode, the full 136bhp comes in sport mode. Maybe someone could confirm this?
Yeah I think it was the charger. That power figure sounds accurate to me, definitely feels like more poke in sport
i just can’t believe you couldn’t charge at Caffee & Machine. In The Netherlands you can charge in every possible street, so ‘our’ EV’s are always charging when not in use / during visits. Hopefully in couple of years, the charging infrastructure will improve in the UK!
Yeah, it will happen. Just needs some more time, would make it all work much better
I suggested to Caffeine and Machine that they should have a petrol station in the future.
@@fraserwright9482 at least an electric one!
I don’t want a touch screen . I prefer buttons and knobs .
Looked cold filmed tail end May ??
Yeah, about spot on
Emira enters the chat
Standard V6 Emira has about the same power as Evora 400, so This one is still much faster
G'day mate, want an electric car with range? Just buy a Landie and tow it...You pommies should know that
😂
I recommend you stop doing short 18 minute top-ups and do full charges, go get a coffee !! Love the lotus tho
Haha, it was only to get me home but I agree, another 10 mins would save a lot of stress 😂. I’m not sure why it charged at 40% speed tho
You bought a city car ev and then complain about the limited range. Hmmm.
2.4miles per kWh is so bad. My EV gets around 4miles per kWh. Makes a massive difference to range.
Now that i'm understanding the limitations and how to get better mileage I'm getting just over 4 miles per kwh on a longer run.
@@sammooresphoto Cool. :) EVs are generally awesome but some things are different to owning an ICE car.
@@SirHackaL0t. indeed, I’m converted for day to day
