This is one of my all-time favorite studio tracks and I was always disappointed they didn't play it live. But after hearing this version, I think I understand. The beauty of the song is in the building layers and harmonies, and that's tough with a 5 person band and without queuing pre-recorded vocals. It really sounds thin around 4:03. Great find though, a fly on the rehearsal wall.
Pffffffffff!!! :O!!! this song is the song that I searching at live!!!! its so cool and so sad but the end is like the hope is some better like when you are in the dark and later you can see a little of light!!!
its the pain in his voice. as a fan since 1993, he's been known for more screaming vocals or talking vocals. this sounds great for his agony in the vocals.
So interesting to hear some NIN songs rehearsed so long ago, but only getting played live relatively recently, especially a voice straining one like this one. Still gives me hope Sunspots goes live one day.
That's not so much the problem, its all the backing vocals, I mean I think there are like five or so vocal tracks at the end. I don't know if the rest could pull it off that well though...
I see why they don't play it live, I mean...they would really need a whole bunch of Trents singing those vocals at the end to make it sound as cool as on the record!
this is why i like justin and fink better, jeordie and the other dude (cant believe i forgot his name) just should not be near a mic, they just yell like they are getting under paid and they're bored.
That guitar is awesome. Awesome song
This is so interesting hearing it this way!

Remember thinking this sucked when it leaked out 15 years ago. Got to see it live twice in 2018 and it works way better than I expected
Long time searching. Then, found it here... Godbless ya
This is such an awesome song! Even better live than on the cd!

And it finally happened
Trents singings a bit iffy on this, but it is a rehearsal so im sure we can let him off.

It made its live debut yesterday, in San Antonio, Texas.
Bass is great. :) Awsome song. I like.

Why he doesn't play this live, it's one of his bests...
I'm not sure why they didn't play this live. It sounds great.
He was afraid of straining his voice, also why it has never been performed live outside of soundcheck/rehearsal.
.
@wholish it was leaked and found in the ETS forum :)
the later part is even better, if you go through the slow intro.
want this version.
Trent wasn't feeling this song live and thats why theyve never played it in a show, but it is such an awesome song anyways
@0z0az no, sorry. It wasn't leaked.

!!!¡¡¡!!!
Slightly rough round the edges but nice find!
I thought he sounded worse on the lower notes, right before the bridge, and at the very beginning
@cmj556 YeaH!!!!
is simply All the love in the world!!!!
do you have the and all that could have been live rehearsal?
HOW DID YOU GET THIS?
@pikda2801
good shit
@Xxmiss0stephaniexX Shit I wish my mom would listen to nine inch nails...

on this one certain parts either require falsetto or screaming your ass off..both options hard...
