@Julian Baxter Don't take the troll bait, my friend. He's not even doing a good job of critiquing the song, let alone recognizing other's opinions. That said, for some reason, a lot of NIN fans didn't seem to catch onto this song, along with most of Trent's "Shoegaze-esque" stuff. In the tours immediately following this record, he played this song most nights, and I was always excited to hear it, but I could feel the crowd around me kind of politely 'deflate' and wait for the next thrasher. It's like a certain segment of the audience wants him to continually recreate "Broken" or "March of the Pigs", even as a grown-ass man. Remember how poorly his cover of "Zoo Station" was received? I fucking LOVE that cover!

Somewhere 12 years ago, when this song opened my soul, I thought - it perfectly reflects my soul.
Now, 12 years later, I understand. It perfectly reflects a significant part of the life of most of us.
Sometimes, you just need to hear the inner voice. And to understand that harmony, at least with oneself, is more important than anything else. You can't control yourself, you can't control anything.
