If there is coolant in the oil, the oil will have a different color, whitish. Has the color of the oil seen on the dipstick changed? If there is coolant in the oil, the first measure to take is to replace the oil cooler, there may be a leak.
Hi Javiery, regarding the 1.3 tce engine, is there a problem with the thermostat housing that controls the coolant temperature? It seems that that plastic casing would explode and all the liquid would flow, leading to irreversible damage to the engine. More and more qashqai users with this engine have encountered the thermostat problem. I own a Kadjar from 2019 with this engine that ran 80k km and I did not replace the thermostat. Would it be time to replace it to prevent engine damage?
It is not a general fault, and it does not happen in all engines. It is true that the thermostat is made of plastic (DC brand) like all engines, but it must have a quality defect that causes a fine crack in one area. I have seen this problem with engines with more than 60,000 km. It does not occur in all vehicles in general. I also have this engine with 30,000 km from 2019 and I have not changed it yet. In appearance, the new thermostat is the same and from the same DC brand. At Renault there is a new reference for the thermostat box, it must be of better quality now. Although other brands can be obtained in car parts stores. Depending on the engine number, there may be 2 different thermostat housings.
@@javiery70 You are right, my friend. Due to the fact that the improved thermostat ( 110600260R part number) looks identical the previous one, although the manufacturer is different, the users don't trust the performance of the new thermostat. Correct. Direct injection systems can usually cause carbon deposits behind the valves. A defect in combustion combined with excessive oil consumption can increase carbon buildup.
