Loved this video, very interesting and informative, love that you reviewed the pub from the inside. The site would benifit from at least one shower, especially if you're stopping a few days but it is what it is and cheap.
@@davehalliday6657 yes, showers are always a nice to have but sometimes as you say just go with the flow.. pub definitely worth slumming it for one night 😊

I pleasure. Something else that's interesting about the pub is that they used to have a pet turkey that strutted around the garden. It used to stop every now and again, look around at the customers then make a sound which sounded like a belch then carried on wandering around. One day it caused a kerfuffle by attacking a customer's labrador which was on its lead and it panicked so much it nearly had its owner on the ground!!
@@mikedowning4603 no turkey this time but a few peacocks strutting their stuff.. wonder if the turkey disappeared one Christmas 😂
Good honest review, nicely filmed. I noticed an Adnams beer mat on the bar, my beer of choice, brewed in Suffolk so a long way from home. I hope they had some on tap for you?

It IS a nice pub, you're absolutely right. We used to live quite close by on the other side of the river about one mile down stream so often walked to the pub via the bridge in Worcester and kayaked up too. We're now in mid Wales so great biking country. Hopefully I'm going to be buying a 500x tomorrow - in part as a result of watching your videos. Thanks Mike

A quick update Andy. I went to see that 2021 CB500X I mentioned this morning in Hereford and the owner is riding it over to my house in Dolau Powys as we "speak"☺️. Do you have any recommendations for CB friendly insurers?
@@mikedowning4603 nice one Mike, I went with Bikesure last time.. they gave me the best price but sho around for best deal, obviously checking cover is similar.
