We take a look at how the Forerunner managed to defeat their creators, the Precursor, during the Forerunner-Precursor War -- leading to events which would see the flood unleashed upon the galaxy.

Space Cthulu vs Metal Men, a true battle for the ages
LateNightGaming: They're so advanced that individuality and mortality is beyond them that they're like 'we're being driven to extinction, this is like interesting.'
Why’s a collector in the thumbnail?
Harbinger assumed direct control of this thumbnail
Hi person scrolling in the comments
Im gonna have to stop you right there.
Man Eck, you keep FLOODING us with quality content.
Great story. Personally i cant play these FPS games because they make me nauseous but I dig the cannon. Great Sci Fi.
MASS EFFECT! Coruscant defense fleet (Clone wars era) vs the Reaper armada (Mass effect).
Anyone else gonna mention that the thumbnail creature is actually a Collector from Mass Effect 2?
If there are pure and not so a angry precursors left, I wonder what would they think of their hate filled and parasitic cousins (the flood).
Who would win?
Well, if we look at what canon says, the Precursors simply didn't see death the way we do. They, canonically, fled the killing but chose not to defend themselves and were ultimately almost all hunted down. Those who survived either descended into deeper dimensional planes or, a separate group, chose to go out outside of the galaxy and degenerate their bodies into a powder for storage to later reform into themselves after the Forerunners had all-but forgotten about them. The powder degraded over time and resulted in the Flood. Due to their minds being twisted by the degradation and corrupt Flood form, they decided that was good enough and started hating the lifeforms they had created (except humanity, the Precursors' chosen heirs). They decided to unite all life into them in eternal agony because it would technically not violate the Mantle (diversity of life would not be gone, simply life would all have the same basis) and they'd get their "revenge" (everything would be suffering).
Tier 1 civilisation or some space dust?
I wish 343 or Bungie would create a game based on the Human - Forerunner War
They beat them at chess and accidentally spilled the cup which contained the flood
I can sum it up using Star Wars.
I clicked this notification so quickly that I think I cracked my phone screen
You should make a video explaining the Precursors in general. Thier abilities and feats are mindboggling. They are absolutely one of the most OP factions in fiction
