What happens if you choose to burn Prompto's wrist

- Episode Prompto DLC, during the campfire scene, you're prompted to make Prompto choose between burning his wrist, or giving up. MOST PEOPLE would choose to give up, (I did on my first playthru - who would want to hurt this precious boy?) But this is what happens if you choose the former option.
Regrettably, I stopped recording too soon; Immedietly after, Aranea heals his wrist with a potion. That's the only difference. The following dialogue and cutscenes are all the same. Игры
I’m pretty sure 100% of people came here to watch this video only because they couldn’t actually do it themselves. Me included
lol true i could never hurt prompto xD
Animated Heroes i did it. Just to see if it would do anything
I did it. I really wanted to hug him... I instantly regretted my choice
Prompto is just precious man
I did it, felt pretty bad about it, but at least Aranea was there to help, bless her
i walked away to get some water thinking it was a cutscene and i paused it but when I came back i see Prom screaming and i hear sizzling and I was like WTF DID OR DID I NOT DO WHAT
oof, you made Prompto burn his wrist
Always nice to see video games at least somewhat accurately depict mental health. Prompto is one of my favorite characters mainly because of his body dysphoria/depression and how well the writers handled it, so when this scene happened I was also shocked that they actually put self-harm in the game. They also handled this well, didn't make it too dramatic like your typical angst Wattpad story and gave some insight to why people would do that to themselves for those who can't relate ^^
You can see the emotion in Aranea's eyes. She really pitied the poor boy.
What happens if you choose to burn Prompto's wrist.... *HE BURNS HIS WRIST*
I’d like to point out that at the moment of your choice, it’s referencing Lady Macbeth and her constantly washing hands after she goes mad, trying to wash herself of her sins and constantly seeing blood on her hands.
Thanks for posting this ;o; I love him too much to let him do that but still wanted to see what would happen.
Yeah totally! (I know whatcha mean; it hurt me to do so)
Same for me thank you for posting! He's now my second favorite FF character after this episode.
Wøw, Chill øut møm. Thanks for showing. I was too much of a wuss to do this.
I really burned this poor man just to get the joy off the poetic angst this entire episode has
I like how the description says MOST PEOPLE would choose to give up
I am not MOST PEOPLE ...
same :D
Same :')
I did this because I think that's what Prompto would've done anyway if they didn't give you choices
I searched this to see if he actually would do it. And to see if it changes his characters personality or something, like if it has an actual effect.
AnimeFF he gets healed by aranea, which is a nice little thing and you get the moral dilema of why you want him to do it in the first place xD
I chose this on my very first run because I already knew that he would somehow get it fixed again, because his wrist was unharmed when he re-appeared in the main story ._.
I chose this on my first playthrough and I feel *horrible* for doing so! :(
aranea give the boy a bubu kiss. ahhaaha
;_;
OH SHIT HE ACTUALLY DID IT
My babyyyyy nooo though he'd chicken out....
I did this the first time around, definitely one of the more powerful scenes in the game.
DONT DO IT TO HIM PLEASE I just wanna give him a big hug he’s so adorable
MY PRECIOUS BABY D:
I feel this is probably the canon choice. Prompto isn't thinking straight and has just found out how he came to be and what he was originally intended to be. He already hated his barcode because he knew it made him different somehow, and now he knows exactly how.
I plan for him to have a scar left behind if/when I get around to writing this part of the story for a fanfic I have in mind, or getting any fan art commissioned that takes place after this part of the game. Yeah, Aranea heals him with a potion right away, but Gladio can be healed with potions during the main game and his DLC, and it doesn't prevent him from gaining the new scars.
i adore the fact that there’s a macbeth reference
Wait, people actually gave up?? I burned the shit out of him! I thought it might work!
Why did you do me like that
@@PromptoArgentum_*Hugs him, gently rubbing his head* It's okay, baby boy. I would never want to hurt you like that!
I would personally break past the barrier between fiction and reality if it means keeping you safe from any and all harm!
even if it did work he would of still been braned by the mark the fire leteft
Yeah but it isn't the actual barcode. It's like having a really bad scar and tattooing over it. The scars gone
I actually did this through my actual gameplay of Episode Prompto. I have PTSD of doing that now. i burnt the poor thing... ;-;
My poor baby Prompto
I did it because I knew it was what he wanted to do after what he saw in that lab.
Poor Prompto. QmQ When I first saw this scene, I was frightened. No one should ever do this to this 'lil cinnamon roll ;-;
Poor Prompto! It's a good thing that when I played episode Prompto I made him not do it.
if you choose to do this, consider yourself an opp
I chose to do this on my first play-through. I was kind of sad that it didn't burn the tag off, and then a bit more sad when the scar was healed. I thought it would've added a bit of grit to his character if he was physically scarred from this experience. I think the writers missed out on a great opportunity there. I have a kind of mixed view on this DLC. The combat was kind of clunky, the indoor areas got a bit boring, and the last battle was just boring pointing and shooting. But, the story of the DLC was great (its execution was a bit off, though. It felt very out of the blue), the dialogue was great, I really liked the character development, I loved the relationship that Aranea and Prompto have. It was a good DLC with the potential to be a great one. Episode Gladiolus was a bit meh. Episode Ignis however...that, THAT is how you do FFXV DLC. I never felt a great deal of anything towards Ignis, except from sympathy when he was blinded. Then I played Episode Ignis, and I gained a whole new perspective on his character. I respect him so much now.
Oooooo my baby... poor thing
i had prompto burn his wrist because i self-inserted too hard and have self harm issues ;u;
I chose to do it right off the bat. I knew he could heal it anyway, i just didnt know itd still be there
i was so shocked at the. options i just . sat there and the timer ran out and i got this i feel so awful i didnt think hed actually do it😭😭
why did i start crying omg :(
I actually love prompto to death but I chose yes to this bc I thought he would probably do it anyways but also curious
I chose this option, I think its cannon since in chapter 13 he has the burn mark still there
I did choose the option of burning the wrist, but I regretted it and felt bad about it because Prompto doesn't deserve to get his wrist burnt, it's me who desires burning my own wrists as cutting myself can no longer alleviate my mental pain. Probably a terrible time for me to play Episode Prompto as I myself am not going through the best of times.
I really do need to seek professional help, but I really am sorry Prompto.
Aranea HOT AF!!!
NNOO MY POOR BABY D:
i find this moment particuliarly fascinating at the part where Araenea shows up who btw incase you didnt know is actually...
Ardyn in disguise as Araenea an yes i know alot of people like to debate this fact mostly the cringe coomers especially who cant accept facts or just want to deny truth lol but alot of people forget that Ardyn used to be a healer of people he treated their wounds an took away the scourge from infected people.
so for him to show up like this even if its in a disguise shows us that the man still has some of his old self buried within him an this is just one of those moments we get to see that with him encouraging prompto to seek new purpose in his life an remind him that his friends don't see him as the evil clone of their enemy but rather as a cherished companion.
Ngl that was my first choice...
Poor baby qwq
Aranea 😭
Do you have a video showing what happens if you do not? I had him do this so I don't know (I had him do this because I felt his character would have - not because I wanted to see him burn himself or anything)
I was curious, but too much of a chicken shit to do it xD
💓💓💓💓🌚prompto
i don't actually have the game and I just watched a playthough, but I didn't get to see what happens if you don't burn his wrist. is there any difference or does he just not burn it? thank u
Sidon is a shark meme there's no difference. If you decide not to burn it, He'll just throw the stick back into the fire and say "branded for life" and Aranea approaches him the same way.
i burned it on my first try :)
I never saw this scene during my playthrough! Where is this from?
Episode Prompto DLC
Does it actually make a difference later on? 🤔
Yes, this is canon
No. It never comes up again after this, so it doesn't really matter to the rest of the DLC or to the main story if you choose to have him burn his wrist or not do it.
@@mewmew34 Then I choose to not do so 🤔
Why does he reminds me of Kim JongHyun.......
How?
I do not like prompto. Hes left me stuck in rocks far too many times cuz he wants to "strategize" when im approaching a pack of voretooths. The shoulder pat locks me on te vertical plane ao i juat phase through a boulder and im forced to reload.
WHY ARE YOU GUYS SO MEAN HES DONE NOTHING WRONG
DON'T TALK TO ME OR MY SON AGAIN!
