  • About 10% of breast cancer cases can be attributed to genetics. As for the the other 90%, there is an enormous power to reduce the risk of being one of the nearly 270,000 women who will be diagnosed with it each year.
Dr. Kristi Funk, board-certified breast cancer surgeon and best-selling author, unveils the steps you can take to dramatically improve your chances of living cancer-free, as she joins "The Weight Loss Champion" Chuck Carroll on The Exam Room™ podcast.
Dr. Funk is helping to lead the Let's Beat Breast Cancer campaign with the Physicians Committee. She encourages women to take the four-week LBBC challenge to improve their health and reduce their risk for breast cancer.

Well said! Dr. Funk was on the Doctors show. Morning shows like Good Morning America and the Today Show should have her on to promote the health of millions of women as well as men who can learn to eat plant based healthier unprocessed diets.

Adding antibiotics to factory farmed animals is not just protective it is productive in disrupting the microbiome allowing the animals to acquire additional weight before slaughter.

They are given growth hormones to fatten them up quicker, plus fed suspect corn- wheat waste, etc,the animal eats rubbish then you eat the animal.grass fed beef ,lamb etc taste much better than factory farmed animals.wonder if what these factory animals are fed this is having an effect on overweight diabetics

Hard to believe her example of the ladies who only added a cup of strawberries to their otherwise high fat, sugar, meat, carb breakfast, then noticed such a significant improvement. If that was the case, I'd be the healthiest person on the planet.

Could you share information on low estrogen breast cancer treatment. I'm told I am being treated like I am triple negative, but then being bullied into taking an aromatase inhibitor (letrozole) for the next five years even though the research I have found indicates the side effects outweigh the benefits. Tried talking to my oncologist and she simply dismissed my concerns and tried to bully me into taking the mediation without answering my questions. Not sure what to do. Any information would be helpful. Also after chemo and surgery my biopsies showed no lympth node cancer and the margins were clear after removing the tumor (size of a pen point). The tumor site showed chemo had been 95% effective. Thank you for any information you could share.

Changed doctor. When a doctor is not listening to the patient that's disrespect. We wouldn't put up with dismissive behavior from a spouse, parent or children. No need to put up with it from someone you are paying for their services.
It's possible she's getting an incentive from the drug company for prescribing that treatment to patients.
In some cases at the end of the year some doctors send in a list of patients that they get to take certain meds and they get rewarded.

No difference. In many cases the harm is done by the protein in the meat. In some cases the same results can be seen when you use plant proteins but add specific amino acids to provide the ratios seen in animal proteins. This research has started in the eighties, and continues to this day. It really is shocking to read. I was shaking as I read many of them. It is strong research and not easily forgotten once you really study it.
