Sooo confusing. One study says eat this not that and another study will contradict the former study. I have been reading these various studies and what I have discovered is that most all foods eaten in their natural state are processed easily by the body with no side effects, unless you have an allergy to a particular food. Orange juice is high in fructose but if you eat an orange with the pulp etc your body is well able to assimilate that including the natural occurring sugar in the orange. The natural occurring sugar in whole fruit is not toxic to the body like processed cane sugar. I have come to the conclusion that anything man touches by adding to or taking away and processing for longer shelf life etc is not very good for us. I do not hesitate now to eat fruits and vegetables in their natural state and everything in moderation. Frozen fruits, berries and vegetables are my alternative go to. No canned goods, WAY TOO MUCH ADDED SUGAR AND SODIUM and no juices, unless I make it myself. The body is a remarkable machine. It fights to stay alive and heal itself all on its own and puts up a remarkable fight if it is fed well. I try not to be a fanatic but I am when on my own. I do indulge if I go to someone else’s house for dinner or on vacation and unable to get the exact foods I want but because for 80 to 90% of the time I do eat right my REMARKABLE body will be able to handle that indiscretion with ease. It is when 80 to 90% of our diet is bad and only 10% of our food is healthy that we overwhelm our systems. We are predisposed to certain frailties, allergies and diseases due to genetics etc, which will require medication or can be helped with added herbs etc. so we are constantly twiking our diets to help out. Eat healthy and enjoy your life! You can do both. I have 70 years of living under my belt and this has worked for me.❤

I feel like I’ve read conflicting evidence on flaxseed and soy. Some articles say not to have it if your estrogen positive, others say it’s anti-estrogen. So confusing.
You are right. For a few years people thought no soy. Now we know whole foods soy products like soy milk, tofu, tempeh, edamame are protective. Processed soy like Boca, soy cheese, etc are not helpful. Freshly ground flaxseed is helpful. Eating flax seeds or flax oil isn't as helpful.

That doctor has not read all the research papers. One never drinks too much soy. Asians drink one glass if soy milk a day, eat tofu for lunch, Sautee soy bean sprouts for dinner. Just to show you how we eat them.

The doctor recommended to reduce drinking, I "sort of" paid attention .. last Summer I had two glasses of wine and two trips to the ER .. that was more than $2000 .. It is all because of good nutrition. If you eat a lot of veggies, you never have wrinkles. If you think she uses botox or other cosmetic treatments or plastic surgery, you are completely wrong. It is all veggies.
I encourage women to include these foods because I promise you, breast cancer can return after finishing the aromatase inhibitor treatment, even if you had a very low Oncotype DX score.
It sounds very educational and I’m sure with the correct application that an individual would feel truly amazing. And whilst it seems like lickety-split you quickly make a smoothie. We have to be real and understand that in our fast paced life we have to get up and devote time in the morning, to actually making this drink. We all say yeah yeah yeah that’s great and then never do it. And then later down the line, we wonder why our bodies are not working for us. However my only challenge with all these amazing things is my own personal time management when you are overworked and run at the pace of a hamster on a wheel. I think it is all amazing, but we all must get wise and take time for ourselves to assess our health so that we can enjoy the rest of our life. My self included. Always grateful for information that is passed over on the Internet. I guess it’s up to the individual to discern what works for them and we all hope for the best.
This is so good! While I was waiting nearly six weeks for my mastectomy, I went on a whole food plant based diet eating only raw cruciferous vegetables, avocado, beetroot and some nuts, and my KI67 score went down to 1% which I think is the lowest it can go. So this diet basically put my cancer to sleep even before I had any treatment
Love Dr. Funk. Just have to point out the info on red wine 🍷 seems a little misleading. The data showed that yes it has resveritrol. However it would take several BOTTLES at once to get the beneficial amount. Have a handful of grapes 🍇 instead!
No alcohol studies once stratified and otherwise corrected for methodological sloppiness show any alcohol including red wine to have health benefits, while alcohol is know to increase breast cancer risk.
Thanks to the greed of dentists, I lost all of my teeth 12 years ago to infection they wouldn't treat even thought I had insurance. My gums were so deteriorated that dentures don't fit, and since I teach I couldn't afford bone implants. I am now on a liquid diet. But hey, dentistry is "cosmetic" according to the insurance corporations that run medicine. If I want to address my triple positive by addressing hormones, I get to take meds for 10 years that cause some people so much joint pain they can't get out of bed. I can't afford to not work, so that is out of the question. I might not live another 5 years. But at least dentists in Charlottesville, VA, have LOTS of money, right?

The Susan Komen foundation states that eating flax seed with estrogen fed breast cancer may increase levels of estrogen... Do you have any comment to this is it a factors that I'm getting so much conflicting information it's driving me out of my mind thanks
I’ve been watching a lot of these presentations from Dr Funk and Dr Barnard and really appreciate them. But… two months ago I was diagnosed with HER2 positive, estrogen and progesterone negative, grade 3 DCIS. I’ve had surgery and now need to focus on reducing likelihood of recurrence. So much of the diet advice given in these presentations is focused on estrogen driven cancer. But what does that mean for those of us whose cancer is not hormone driven? Is the advice a little different for HER2? For example, one website says soy is preventative in general but fuels HER2 cancer. Arrrgh. I’d love a presentation that comments on HER2 positive prevention. I already eat WFPB.
I realize you posted a year ago. I hope you are well! You might want to read the cancer chapter in Dr. Gregor's book "How Not to Die". It might give you a few dietary tweak ideas. There is lots of great nutrition research in that book.
She is spot on with all the methodological problems with the alcohol studies. Populations in the studies were also not stratified; e.g., people who drink moderately tend to have higher incomes, access to healthier foods, better medical care all of which are correlated with better health. The resveretol (spelling) in red wine is in very small amounts, not to mention most people drink more than one glass of wine.
THE LIGHT GREEN GOOSEBEERY WITH DARK GREEN SEED KNOWN AS; AMLA = locally known as NELLI Could be found in Sri Lanka, and India!! It is very bitter when you eat it, and when you drink water after, it turns to a sweet taste!!
Many of these foods are high in oxalates and recent research is showing evidence of high oxalates in the breast tissue of breast cancer patients. I just had a lumpectomy with reconstruction to remove a tumor that is ER and PR+ HER2-, At the time of diagnosis I was undergoing toxic mold detoxification with a low oxalate diet--- (mold fungus and yeast is being found in higher concentrations in breast tissue/tumors of breast cancer)...have you researched this and factored it into your diet recommendations? I'm working with a nutritionist with specific training and knowledge in this area as I resume the mold detox protocol. I'd rather do diet than take the aromatase inhibitors -- the risks associated with those is worse than the rate of recurrence of the cancer. I do agree, though, that diet is very important!
Can you tell me what you think about taking vitamin C supplements I’m taking anestrzole for ILC and was taking about 1000 mg vitamin c that was helping side effects but recently found information that says not a good idea

I had a hysterectomy in 2000 everything was removed. In 2022 I went for a routine mammogram and found out I had right breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy then I had rounds of chemo. I have to take a pill for five years which is called Letrozole. I'm afraid of getting cancer again. I was told a Keto diet would help. My problem is I am allergic to pork, beef and shellfish. From a tick bite in 1968. What other things can I eat to stay healthy? I also take vitamin D3 and thyroid medicine. Thank you for your videos
Hi! I hope you are well. Before embarking on any restrictive diet like the keto, I would do my own research. Keto is often heavy on animal protein, very low on veggies, which may not be ideal for someone who’s had BC. I believe that the Blue Zones is something to look into, as they are the healthiest and long living people in the world, and then make some adjustments based on your preferences and cultural traditions. It’s just an idea.
Hey Chuck, i love these awesome videos, & Dr Barnard is the sweetest most genuine man, jst love him! Pse could you do a video on haemmoroids 😡 / piles. Not a fun subject! 🤔❓I have a QUESTION, I've seen people make concoctions with boiling the citrus peels, & drinking 4 T. a day to fight cancer. Which is better, that liquid, or fresh citrus peels in a smoothie? 🍊🍋🍊 P.S. Thank you SO much for this informative video!
Thanks for this info! More desired for female health/weight loss🙏🏼🥰 Organic Soy beneficial for health? Thoughts? Even organic Soybean oil? Anything Soy laden thoughts as long as organic?
I had a hysterectomy over 20 years ago with ovaries removed. I was just diagnosed with DCIS HR positive. Your fat stores create estrogen, unfortunately!
Flax was a receptor of my late sister’s type of estrogen based cancer. I think lists like those in this video can be dangerous as there is no one size fits all. Standard of care and nutrition doesn’t work for everyone. Listen to your own doctor and learn about your own type of cancer before eating everything on these lists.
No more drug adverts thanks. What is the medical research on which you base your findings? Smr the phD findings thank-you. What can be eaten? Exercise for Oxygen is most recommended. Never mind next week. Proof. Grounded knowledge - name sources please.
Very helpful info. However on my social security income. I can't afford the aloe tonic and that indian gooseberry powder. Affordable Options please ???
Call up your local Indian food store and ask for "Amla powder". I'm going to buy my own aloe plant and look for a diy RUclips. Broccoli sprouts are 200% more powerful in sulforophane. I grow these easily in my home in clean glass jars. (From spaghetti sauce). I got my sprouting seeds online. Buy the kind for sprouting as other seeds have been sprayed. Hope this helps
Excellent info here so thankyou. I've read Dr William Li's (Angiogenesis Foundation) book 'Eat to Beat Disease' ( I'm sure he has been interviewed on this channel) he has been researching over 300 foods in a Lab for years with disease fighting properties and he gives Soy the thumbs up, also Granny Smith & Red Delicious apples, and the San Marzano tomatoes, apparently certain varieties are better than others in fighting cancers/disease.
Very informative and quite inspiring presentation. I am a #nutritarian, so I would add that none of this is of any use if you drench your food with added sugar, salt or oil or ultraprocessed foods devoid of fiber. And why would I use red wine if I can have red wine balsamic vinegar and skip the alcohol metabolism inside my body. I also follow Dr Brooke Goldner's smoothie recipe; if it's good enough to revert lupus and autoimmune disease, good enough for me. I do use apple, lemons and berries in my smoothies with flax and chia. The soy milk I drink with tea or decaf coffee though.
also can you. have keifer or any yoghurt? seen yes to natural yog but on another site no to diary so im even more confused, even read opposing info on berries .
Dairy has hormones from the mommy cow designed to quickly grow baby calves. Guess what else it can help grow! I intend to do everything I can to continue being a cancer survivor so animal products are not a part of my diet.
I am a breastfeeding mother of 5 months, I have a lump in my breast and ampit, a growth in the other breast, itching and some pain. I don't have money to go to hospital now but I juicing veggies and fruits for now. Will the cancer affect my baby? I am still breastfeeding her, I am a single mother buying formula is not an option, please reply I your advice

Isn’t it Her2 positive hormonal?
@It’s dude HER2 is a protein, not a hormone. And this type of cancer tends to be more aggressive.
"The burger will never help you." Love it! 🤣
This all sounds wonderful just really expensive
Chuck Carroll, wearing the patriotic colors. Love it!
So confused, I thought ligans (flax) acted like estrogen and was considered estrogenic.
THE LIGHT GREEN GOOSEBEERY WITH DARK GREEN SEED KNOWN AS;
AMLA = locally known as NELLI
Could be found in Sri Lanka, and India!!
Dr Kristi is Delightful to listen to. All Great information Just for me!
EXCELLENT! Thank you so much!
Excellent information Dr. Funk.
Great info. Thank you Doc
Please see reviews on pink lotus elements customer service before you order. I’m surprised this Dr is backing this company
I had to have my cc company dispute charge as products never arrived .
Can anyone list the 18 foods?
I don’t have time to watch the video.
It is too long. I hated her style of communicating info. I guess I will run the video thru AI to get a transcript when I have time.
What is the name of this podcast???🌹😊❤️ thank you 🌹💐🕊️🌹💕
I have triple positive. What does that mean? Does estrogen make it grow? What should I avoid?
Loved this. But cous cous ain't a whole grain!
Gooseberry, sour, bitter , called amala in hindi
Her Pink Lotus store is GIGANTICALLY expensive. If she REALLY wanted to help the common woman, she'd fix that.
She’s probably interested in helping one woman.
Such great info!!
The small green berry is called "gooseberry" popular in Asia like India, Philippines...
Gooseberries are common in Ireland. Lot of folk grow them, and sold in some supermarkets.
@@lynnettemurphy8243How do people prepare them in Ireland?
Where do we order/purchase these products?
I had a hysterectomy in 2000 everything was removed. In 2022 I went for a routine mammogram and found out I had right breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy then I had rounds of chemo. I have to take a pill for five years which is called Letrozole. I'm afraid of getting cancer again. I was told a Keto diet would help. My problem is I am allergic to pork, beef and shellfish. From a tick bite in 1968. What other things can I eat to stay healthy? I also take vitamin D3 and thyroid medicine. Thank you for your videos
Stay close to plant based diet to avoid recurrence.
Avoid all dairy products. Too many hormones in milk, butter & cheese.
I am 59, got piles during my pregnancies many yrs ago, but they have come back to haunt me 😠. I am a healthy vegan, so just dont understand it. This has been going on for at least 6 weeks & i have tried everything! PSE help! Thank you. Hugs & take care 😘
I’m confused about SOY
🤔❓I have a QUESTION, I've seen people make concoctions with boiling the citrus peels, & drinking 4 T. a day to fight cancer. Which is better, that liquid, or fresh citrus peels in a smoothie? 🍊🍋🍊
P.S. Thank you SO much for this informative video!
You are talking about making HCQ, which has been shown to heal cancer along with some other anti-parasitics.
Thanks for this info! More desired for female health/weight loss🙏🏼🥰 Organic Soy beneficial for health? Thoughts? Even organic Soybean oil? Anything Soy laden thoughts as long as organic?
Trying soy a little at a time but having a lot of gas any thing going crazy in my gut?? Thank
You in advance
If we have no uterus or ovaries due to surgery should we still eat these? Does having no estrogen now mean low chance of breast cancer? Thank you
I had a hysterectomy over 20 years ago with ovaries removed. I was just diagnosed with DCIS HR positive. Your fat stores create estrogen, unfortunately!
@@debbiestjames9568 praying for you Debbie
Does anybody know if Q10 enzyme supplementation raise estrogen? Thanks
Yes you are right
Dr David is one of the best doctors in the universe, he cured me
Reach him up on whatsapp 👇👇👇
Yes, everything depends on an individual's genetic makeup. It's not a one size fits all, and neither are any of the standard treatments or drugs.
Flax is a seed. Not a type of breast cancer receptor.
Excellent information
Good to know thanks 👍👍
Thank You 💖💖💖
This video was amazing! Thank u so much
No more drug adverts thanks. What is the medical research on which you base your findings? Smr the phD findings thank-you. What can be eaten? Exercise for Oxygen is most recommended. Never mind next week. Proof. Grounded knowledge - name sources please.
What about us women that take Oestrogen for HRT? I’ve had a hysterectomy and wear a patch
A lot of good info but also a commercial for her superb expensive website products.
This fruit is Amla, grown in Shri Lanka.
Amazing information. Thank you.
Can we eat home made yoghurt?
Thank you very much!
My oncologist never recommended something to eat.💕
Very interesting that the only type of moderate drinking would be less than a drink a month... Food for thought!
Can you put up your recipe for the smootie please.
When I drink green tea my blood pressure drops and I experience dizziness
Same here. I cannot drink it, even decaf green tea.
Does lime or any citrus increase ECGC as well?
Amla on my blueberries and and soy milk everyday.
Ok to use with letrozole??!
200 years ago people didn’t get cancer. And they drank
the got cancer 200 years ago they just always died from it
I am a breastfeeding mother of 5 months, I have a lump in my breast and ampit, a growth in the other breast, itching and some pain. I am still breastfeeding her, I am a single mother buying formula is not an option, please reply I your advice
I found my cancer while I was breastfeeding. Try to get it checked out.
Soy, uh nope!
The top super food are good to eat like broccoli and berries or not
This is too conflicting, who do you believe?
This lady "showboats" quite a lot. Sorry, but I'm going to say she can be a bit annoying. 🤨 Hmm...🤔
I thought that soy from Japan was the best edible because it’s non gmo and fermented is best. But USA soy? Is the opposite it’s so processed and gmo where do we buy the good soy Dr. Funk? Any one know? What type of soy to get in United States? Thank you 🙏
