  • Pablo and I recently ventured to a hard-to-access point break in the Central Pacific. The waves were pumping and the longshore current was insane! I had to swim hard for about a half hour straight just to hold my position and catch one wave. I will definitely bring a surfboard next time...
That said, it was awesome to see the sheer power of the sets sweeping around the point and experience the challenge of fighting the current. Plus, it was a beautiful location and great adventure!

Thats a gorgeous spot! What's the water temp?
Here in my local break, I'm also constantly at the mercy of strong currents on most days, especially on big ones. It's quite annoying, you can't really stay on the best spots for more than 1 or 2 waves.

Water temp is about 80 degrees fahrenheit. No need for a wetsuit!
