Omg I literally just found ur channel & ur interior design vids are THE best!! Also living for the energy you give off!💕 I’m a high school sophomore and I definitely plan on majoring in interior design which means I’ll be applying to colleges soon, do you have any tips on applying to colleges? Also I’ve never taken an art class in high school but I am planning to take one my junior year (next year) do you think it’s too late to do so? Keep killing it girl!!
aww thank you SO much💓 i talked about the interior design application process and interior design schools i was looking at in a previous video! it's called "why i chose my school + interior design application process". i only took one art class my senior year so it's definitely not too late! i plan on making a video answering some of the most commonly asked questions (about interior design) under my videos so if you still have any questions after watching that video feel free to comment and i'll definitely include them :) hope this helps💓
I’m in highschool right now but I’ve been admiring interior designer for a long time, my question is can a person become a interior designer and a decorator because that’s what I wanna do & I was wondering is that even possible ?
binge watching all the interior design vids of yours. I am really thinking this is what I want to do but...... I have some questions girlie haha... Is the workload super overwhelming? Do you still have time to do other things? What are the potential jobs? Is it alot of sitting in one spot? IS IT WORTH IT?!! Is it a good enviorment to make friends?? xx thanks queen
hi! great questions! the workload is challenging and I definitely have had some sleepless nights but it is all worth it! the easiest way for me to explain it is technically you decide how much homework you have. you can either put a ton of time and effort to perfect your design or you can just settle and put a design together quickly (but trust me it shows!). I still have plenty of time to do other things. this year I was balancing two jobs and school but still had time to hang out with friends! I am starting to look into more specific jobs and internships this upcoming year so I will get back to you on that one haha you can also google jobs for interior design students to get a better idea. it is A LOT of staying in one spot. I just posted my finals week vlog and that is kind of what my day to day life at school looked like. granted we were mostly on zoom, most of the programs are on your computer. and lastly, 110% I think it is worth it! I love all the work I create and I am always passionate to learn more. I hope I was able to help and thank you for all your support
Hi! So I’ve been going on and off about majoring in interior design since my junior year and I’m now a senior stressing feeling as though I don’t have time to make a portfolio by the January deadline for applications but at the same time I feel like if I really focus I can get a portfolio done. I wasn’t sure before this is what I wanted to do and now I’m sure so it feels too last minute. Do you have any tips for art projects for a portfolio that I can make? Any advice would help me.
hi! i did a few photography pieces, pencil perspectives and mixed media. my biggest piece of advice is to make sure you have a variety of pieces because it shows you can work with a variety of media. hope this helps💓
Hi! Just found your channel and we're obsessed! We're also interior design students and so interesting seeing the different projects we are working on. What level of interior design are you in? We're in Grad 3!
I have a question I have been wanting to become a interior designer for four year's. But I want to know how do you guys actually get tested. Is it like a paper test multiple choice test. Or something like that if you are reading this can you pls answer. That would be so helpful to me. Thank you ☺️😊
hi! so far almost all of my college classes grade us on our projects. so for me its been a lot of 3D modeling and never really written tests (I am taking a materials class and that's the only testing based class I've had so far) I hope this helps :)
hi! I know it's 2 years later but i'm in grade 10 trying to become an interior designing. Would you mind sharing which platform /app you use or recommend for interior designing. I can't seem to find good ones. Thanks in advance!!
i’m about to start college and i’m interested in interior design, how do i go about the process ? any tips or things i should know before ? and it is hard to find jobs after graduating?
Im a grade 6 (soon 7) girl and I really love interior design! My dad is an architect so he basically inspired me. Do you have any tips on how to come up with designs? Or how to cope with art blocks- love your videos btw^^
Hi!! Im a senior in high school and i really want to study interior design, i would like to know if you recommend using a tablet or a computer for college?
Do you need to know how to draw them or can you copy them by adding a paper on top of the computer? Just a question Or do they teach you how to draw them.
hi! for this project we had to design and draw it ourselves! the class was taught step by step which was super helpful since i wasn't the strongest at drawing.
yes! i definitely slacked this semester but will do tons of college vlogs in the fall! i also have semester recaps on my channel which i film after each semester to talk about classes and how i felt!
hi i would like to become an interior designer but is it necessary for me to have drawing skills?i cant really draw well and im afraid that will cause me many problems and challenges:(
hi! you definitely don't need to be perfect i learned most of my skills in college! it really on all depends on your school and how many hand rendering classes they will require you to take but I can assure you it'll definitely be at least a couple. just keep practicing and try to take a drawing class if you can to learn the basics. hope this helps :)
hi! if you're talking about student life I have SO many vlogs on my channel where I show you my projects and also just talk generally what each semester has taught me! hope this helps and I will be doing one in regards to this past semester very soon!
I have shown SO many projects and assignments in most of my interior design day in my life videos so if you want to see some specifics I definitely recommend watching a few! also i'm working on making a video on my final project for this semester so you can see what it consisted of :)
I came to see how my next semester as an ID student will go and I find the coffee! Try 1/2 cup of (any) milk, 2 tablespoons vanilla syrup, 2 cups of the medium roast iced coffee :) ... What is one piece of advice you would give to an ID student?
I honestly just found your channel and I love it💜 but I have a question, so if I go to college and go to be a interior designer would I be able to also play volleyball or would that be too stressful?
hi! thank you so much! i know some kids who play sports on top of their major. i feel like if you manage your time right you should be ok! i hope this helps 💓
hi! I have a video dedicated to which laptop I chose and why! I had to do a lot of research but this should help in terms of what my teacher told me I needed :) here it is: ruclips.net/video/Ff_4VUnt9tg/видео.html
hi! unfortunately I don't know enough about architecture to be able to compare the two :( there are a lot of great resources online that I feel will be able to better compare and contrast the two. I'm sorry I couldn't help but I don't want to give you any false information!
As someone in high school who is wanting to become an interior designer this was nice to watch ☺️
