Mr. Galarza: Thank you for your service to our great country; my 80-year-old mother is having laminectomy surgery on 10/11/17 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and it is my hope that she has the results that you richly deserved. Thank you for telling your story, and I hope by now you have put a few miles on that Harley….

You and I are the same!!!! Just got cut last Thursday, unable to walk, sit up, use the head (sitting) could only lay down. I forced myself to go to the hospital after two months in bed (fire dept) had to put me in the upright position to get around a corner (screamed like hell) once at hospital was able to relax... cut on me next day after surgery, nurse said I urinated in OR and a lot of pieces came out! huh? after recover time I was shy... but rose to my feet and walked the halls, dizzy by able too without pain... new life ahead!!! D.Nicely =-)

Thanks for your service !!! I too am going to have the same surgery in a few weeks, 34+ years of putting off Back Surgery. At first 34 years ago at the age of 26 I was told to fix my problem they needed to fuse 4 levels together, at the time the doctor told me because i was young and in great shape to try to put any surgery off if i could. Well i did and there was some times that i had pain but i could always get it to go away. Now after this many years i need to have something done, it went from a 4 level fusion 34 years ago to a Laminectomy now. I am glad i could wait and i am happy for you that this took care of your pain.

God Bless you Ray, and may you always continue to get well. I am on the edge of having a laminectomy as well, but you have gone through so much more pain and immobility. Hand salute from one vet to another!!!
