Here is a new solo transcription. One of my favorite be bop solo performed by Clifford Brown, on the album "More Live at the Bee Hive" (1955) Enjoy ;-) Download pdf in C, Bb & Eb for free at www.franckwolf.com
Yes, I think the restoration of old recordings has been accelerated and detuned. I don't have perfect pitch, but I can hear the sax playing in Bb concert. I also thought it was infinitely more likely that they'd played it in Bb rather than B. But I could be wrong...
For anyone coming here after the Emmett Cohen livestream recording of this tune, it's pretty obvious that Bruce Harris has studied this Clifford solo well... among other spots, compare 3:27 in this video to ruclips.net/video/984ksjle4YA/видео.html
thx for sharing solo franck. anyone willing to sell a digital copy of the more live.... album? discogs has no copy and cheapest amazon copy starts at 60 bucks.
Great playing from Clifford, as always. But, this solo simply doesn't work with bebop changes played over block, triads, maj7, dom7 and half / fully dim chords. Way too much tension. This is a trad / Dixie tune, medium tempo standard, ballad or Ad libitum.

Great solo and vocabulary. I wonder why the key signature of 1b: this is in the key of C starting on the IV chord.
real god
have all brown's solos transcribed f/album.
Great job, except you have the wrong key signature. It's in C for trumpet(concert Bb). The tune begins on the IV chord, FMaj7(concert EbMaj7).
When it came to the tenor sax performance it was cut to dam short, WHY?
