    Hey Tyler amazing video as ever! Amm I've a question about the fundamentals. In painting, what is the difference between composition and design?

    • @TylerEdlin84
      @TylerEdlin84  4 года назад +3

      Antonio Blanco composition is the arrangement of elements in a picture. Design is in everything. Design is making intentional decisions to convey an idea or solve a problem,

    • @antonioblanco3086
      @antonioblanco3086 4 года назад

      @@TylerEdlin84 Oh ok thanks! So Composition is a part of the design? and what about art?

    • @TylerEdlin84
      @TylerEdlin84  4 года назад +1

      Antonio Blanco you design the composition. The whole thing could more or less be considered artistic. Art is the process and emotion you out in it , I’d say

    • @TylerEdlin84

      Jason Lee if your referring to the rate to hire an artist is going to vary quite a bit. Less experienced artists will be cheaper having no idea what To charge while getting a pro will mostly have a day rate that’ ranges $500-1000. That be my guess

      @@TylerEdlin84 Hmmm, a dollar a minute? 20 for 20? But that's just off the top of my head. I think it is hard to say from my perspective really. Bc ultimately, it really needs to be worth it for you. Time is an asset. So if you are using prime hours, I would charge accordingly to your hourly. But if its something you could squeeze in the early hours or at night, sort of low energy times, maybe something discounted to get it off its feet, and develop it as you go. I also see alot of people put caps on how many people they can crit (say 10 crits per term, etc). To me, I'm learning a good crit is worth the money, big time. But, in the end, I think it has to be worth it to you. I would check out Modern Day James patreon. (www.patreon.com/moderndayjames ) He's doing some more community involved patronage ideas and it might inspire you, if thats the route you are thinking.

      @@TylerEdlin84 It clogs up all Google searches, which makes actually finding legit results very hard and very irritating. If you want to look at stuff, even to go to the original page that was pinned, it forces you to log in with a huge annoying banner that covers the entire page. It doesn't make me want an account, it just pisses me off and makes me leave the site. I refuse to create an account because of that. It's the principle of the matter. If it wasn't for it clogging up the entire Google search with pages and pages of nothing but pinterest and trying to force me to log in when I just want to do research or find some reference images, I wouldn't hate it so much. But as it is, it's a nuisance that buries everything in floods of results that are ultimately useless to me.
