All 3 gone, but not forgotten RIP Ed, Jerry, & Johnny.
I did not know Johnny was ever on the telethon.Tremendous entertainment.
He did the same spot for several years from the late '60s throughout the '70s. I think 1980 was the last Carson appearance on the Telethon.
The KING of late night TV on the Telethon.
That telethon did so much for MD. People say a lot of negative things about Jerry Lewis - he was a very complex person - but he had an incredible heart and inestimable ability to make people laugh. Martin loved him. Sinatra loved him. Carson loved him. And the countless he helped loved him. That's really all which needs to be said.
So great!
1:43 Ed's laugh is hilariously "infectious." LOL. Thanks for sharing.
2:01 I Jerry having a convulsion? LMAO!
1:14 8:34 Jerry getting "Touchy/Feely" with Johnny. Ouch. LOL.
