Labor Day weekend was always wonderful when the Telethon was on. God Bless all these folks and to all of those who gave over the years. Much progress was made.
Don Rickles always delivered as a guest. He was brutally honest (caustic) and hysterically funny. Mr. Rickles was both classy and a true gentleman. Thanks for sharing.
....and he isn´t lying either: a Rolex President DayDate in red gold is actually worth 40k today:) He is the best though and will never be surpassed. The one and only Don Rickles.
🤠 I was only 9 years old at the time when I first started watching this Jerry Lewis mda telethon and ever since then I've watched it every year when it came on. It didn't matter how old I was, I just enjoyed Watching this. It is a shame that they stop doing this, they were helping so many people out there. I wish that somebody had taken over for Jerry and continue this telethon. I do miss watching this on television and yes our parents used to let us stay up really late or until we fell asleep, whichever came first.
Absolutely my favorite and funniest comedian. And he worked clean!!! No clean comic will ever be that good in today’s society. I’m glad he lived so long and worked into his 90’s. They don’t make them like that anymore.
I remember those telethons Jerry would be up for 24 hours and every year he would surpass the previous years total. This is the first video I saw Rickles with a comb over.

@@belfiore_18 :: uh-oh. A heckler. You missed what's called the 'call back.' That's when a comedian makes a joke and then later on calls back to it. Or in this case another comedian makes a call back to it. You may want to watch the video again. Don Rickles put his wrist down and his watch came unsnapped and he said it was a $40,000 watch, which should have told Jerry Lewis how much his contribution was going to be. In fairness, back then $1,000 was a lot of money. Don Rickles made the joke first. It should be obvious that as a stand-up comedian myself, I was using humor. Is your bra that tight that you don't get that? Maybe you should take it off at your ears and put it on your tits - they're beginning to sag. You're getting on my nerves. All ferklempt coming in here without a sense of humor. You clearly want to kvetch about anything and everything. Just another mashugana shikse. Look, I love Don Rickles and imitation is considered to be flattery. Lighten up a few of the screws you got holding your head on and learn what humor is. You've done a good job of embarrassing yourself.
Yes that was a gold Rolex and not fake. And his donation was much more than 1000$. That was supposed to be funny to jerry but didn’t come across as funny. There was no way he could get away with only 1,000$ jerry would have called him out especially knowing the rat pack they also Would have had his head. That donation was probably closer to 10,000$ most likely dean, frank and the rat pack pitching in.

Jerry Lewis: you were and will always be my idol. Thank you for the wonderful and comforting memories.

You can see don break for a split second just quiet rage at his watch but brings it back like a real entertainer! What a legend

You can tell he came in totally cold and never missed a beat
DON: KING OF VERBAL DEMOLITIONS😅
Rip Jerry and Don and Ed maybe their all together having a drink and a few laughs in the big telethon in the sky 🤔
The comb over is tremendous!
If i remember right " that kid" that they was passing around was on of Jerry granddaughter. He introduce her in another clip.
The Master.
Only Don Rickles could away with a hairstyle like that , bless him. RIP miss him
Sometimes I wonder if he did the combover on purpose because it made him look like more of a jerk.
Good and greatest laugh of all times.
Just a $1000 Don. That’s like $20,000 today.
"Mr. Warmth" 😁

much better now cause if you look at the video on how the 1982 set looked that's how it looked
labor day is not the same without Jerry
Yes I totally agree with you it was part of our lives for such a long time.
I thought Jerry was going to piss himself.
I TELL YA DIS . . . I love you Champion 🏆 Mickey Australia 🇦🇺
$42,ooo watch....same ol' yearly $1,000 donation LOL
Knowing Rickles it was a fake Rolex -- and it was clear to me was joking about it...
1000 in 82 would be like 5000 or more now.
You don't know what he gives off stage. That is an unfair statement o make .

2500 today
Your got more steps than stage lol.
$1,000? That's a little light.
$1,000 donation then is equivalent to $3,100 donation in today's dollars.

God bless the person who convinced Rickles to get rid of his combover.
Anyway...
People always laugh at everything Don says, even if it makes no sense or is not funny
Unfortunately, Don did not have two healthy children...
Is it me or did Jerry gain a little bit of weight in his later years?! 🐳
So you say Jerry never touch coke...Hu!
Trump like combover on Rickles.
Poor Jerry Lewis. All those years and all that money raised. For what? Nicer wheelchairs?
Truth be told, Rickles was a better actor. He wasnt that funny.
