Finally... I am able to do this stitch. What other tutorials failed to mention is the twisting motion. You can't do it without it. Believe me, if you don't incorporate the twists it just looks like a single crochet all the way across. I saved this tutorial.
I have watched numerous videos on how to do the reverse single crochet. YOURS is the one that finally enabled me to master the stitch. Thank you so much for the clear explanation. I played it at 75% speed over and over until I did the stitch correctly. And, your suggestion to prepare for the stitch by first doing a row of single crochet also helped quite a bit. Thank you very much.
Thank you for this video. I love that you don't talk too much, but rather just do the stitch over and over slowly.. THAT'S fantastic.
Thank you for demonstrating this so SLOWLY. You just became my go-to person for learning new stuff! I hope you make lots of these!
I treid 3 more demos before this one and i totally agree i can now do the stich tyvm
You have made it so easy to learn-I have been doing crochet and knitting for fifty years but didn't learn the new methods or old methods-I ocasionally go on You tube and watch the tutorials-you are so great at showing how you do it and you take your time in showing how to do it-Thank you so much for being such a great teacher.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for making a slow motion video with not a lot of talking....I'm having a hard time with this one and it's nice just to be able to watch you work through the stitch.
Thank you for a clear slow video of this Reverse Single crochet stitch. I watched MANY others, but found yours to be most helpful !!
+Avery Kas Thanks for watching!
Excellent tutorial! That angel voice that popped in there was quite a bonus 🐒💕
Thank you for demonstrating this stitch so carefully. I'm left-handed and it was very easy to follow you. Excellent tutorial!
AWWWWWW ... a little monkey ... Thanks for the tutorial ... My baby blanket calls for a scallop border and I absolutely don't want to do it ... You saved me a lot of time and ripping and the blanket because now I will finish it !!! ... and thanks for the "monkey love" ... it made my day !!!
Finallyy!! After 5 hours of struggling with this reverse single crochet.
Thanks a lott!!
I wish I found your video earlier!
all I want to say is, "THANK YOU!! THANK YOU FOR THE WAY YOU TEACH." I just couldn't understand the crab stitch, BUT i watched your video AND I love how you teach. I did the crab stitch!! lol!!! thank you!!
Glad the video is helpful, thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for going all the way through to the end and showing how to end it neatly!!!
Thank you for this great video! I LOVE the precious little voice in the background:)
Oh thank goodness I have found you!!! I watched 3 other vids on how to crab stitch and still didn't have a clue afterwards. Watched you and had it as soon as you 'taught' it...thank you kind teacher for sharing your knowledge.
Looking forward to viewing your other videos. Thanks again! :D
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have now mastered this stitch thanks to your thorough instruction! You have made my day!!
Best instruction, now I know the proper way to do the crab stitch ...Thank you!!!!!
thanks allot, I tried looking at other videos, but yours was the first where I actually learned to do the stitch. great that you showed again and again. as other videos did it slowly only for the first one than speeded up.
Five thumbs up! Superb explanation! You took the time and got in close so that anyone can see EXACTLY WHICH STITCH YOU WERE USING! LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT! I know how to crotch and had a brain injury and in order to get back to a decent function picked up the hook! Repetition is a great way to retain the brain. But occasionally I Getty confused. Where others take for granted everyone knows what stitch there taking about (when you get in the stitch trenches it can be confusing especially for newbies. When I taught others how to..before injury they saw string strung. Never sure what a loo was compared to another they were looking at. Lol now I get it. THANK YOU FOR taking the time! And I completely enjoyed the extra commentary at the end.. B-)
HAPPY NEW YEAR & GOD BLESS YOU ALL~
Thank you so very much for your excellent instructional video. You are very patient and easily understood, and I never thought I'd be able to do this, but I was successful!! Thank you once again!!!
I like this video. This is a stitch I had never heard of before and it came up in a pattern that I have.I checked it out here before starting the project so that I would know how to do it when I come to there. Thank you for the video and keep upo the good work.
Done nice and slowly so I can follow along. Best of many of the videos on this technique that I've seen.
Thank you, I watched 3 tutorial videos and this is the one where I finally got it!!!
Thanks for the great video. You showed us how to end with this stitch which is important also.

Totally agree. Ü Thanks!!
Thank you for this. I knew how to do a crab stitch but not how to join it, today I needed to know how to join and this video helped me do that.
Excellent video for this stitch. And it's a wonderful edging for a variety of applications. I think it's practically required for cardigans on the button front edges. And it's beautiful.
thanks so much for this!!! this made so much more sense than other videos i watched.
Finally, someone made this make sense! Thanks.
