    Hi John. Sorry this is off topic from the charger. I just had nowhere else to put the comment, my apologies. Wish I was wealthy enough to send you a Fly Wing FW450 V3. I know you've reviewed the V2 and the 200 Sized one from a few years ago. Like you, I don't consider these "Real CP Heli's", even though you can fly them in full CP no stabilization mode, and can use a regular TX, instead of the crappy Drone type they give you with it. Not sure if you remember me or not, but you taught me to fly, and I've been in many of your comments. I'm good in all aspects with not just flying very well now, but also all repairs and maintenance, as well as Swash Leveling of course, and using servo linkage adjustments, instead of Sub-Trims on radios to get it just right. As I've turned into an addicted Heli Phreak. I already had the V2 version of this Heli, and the 200 sized, I just had to have the V3, as I saw what Alishanmao was doing with the latest version several months ago before the release. I have to say, it's MUCH more responsive, than the more sluggish V2, and even though I can do Piro Flips with a normal CP 3D Heli, it's really interesting doing clean Piro Flips, and Tik Tocs with the flick of a switch, and simply pushing and holding the left or right rudder control stick to full position. I've heard the FW450 V2.5 can do what the V3 does, as they have the same newly designed RX. They send you a 4S large capacity lipo with it, but the ESC's secret is, it can handle up to a 6S lipo, with no problems, and this heli was designed to do so. I haven't flown it with a 5 or 6S yet. I don't know if you'd be interested in the results. I know I'm long winded, sorry. I honestly don't know why Flywing didn't just send you one to get your thoughts on it, as you are a great reviewer, and they sent out several of these for free, to other Heli enthusiasts for review.

    Thank you so much for this video, looks like it's perfect for my needs. I immediately ordered one of these chargers from my LHS after viewing this.
    For years I've been running a crappy G.T. power C607D that my LHS recommended to me when I first started running lipo powered electric vehicles, which was fine back then because I only had 2s compatible vehicles. I've now started getting much higher powered Arrma cars that run up to 6s, so I wanted a better quality/ more advanced charger that was also capable of charging two packs simultaneously in addition to displaying more info than when charging than my C607D, which only displays the duration of the charge cycle and the total power it has put in the battery and doesn't even have the option to view individual cells

    Advantage of D6pro:
    - Calibration of cell measurements
    - End of charge speed finish with an adjustable %
    - the max/min cells on the main screen.

    Thanks for this great video.
    I have 3 questions that I can't find anywhere, D6 pro is capable of it.
    1- Is it able to charge 1S because I saw bad reviews about it maybe it was solved by an update?
    2- When only the balancing socket is connected, is it able to instantly give the voltages per element?
    3- When it is turned on again does it remember the old setting?
    I hesitate between hobbymate/D6pro and SKYRC, I know that the internal power supply is the weak point, I can't find a photo of the disassembled charger to compare.
    We just see that through the vents everything seems black on Skyrc but on the D6 pro we see 3 yellow capacitors i think.
    Advantage of D6pro:
    - End of charge speed finish with an adjustable %
    - max/min cells on the main screen.
    - A counter of the number of lipo charges.

      1. Charges 1S just fine. Actually show it doing exactly that in the last video I made of the Esky 150 EC review.
      2. Yes it shows all cell voltages when you plug in the balance lead. It doesn't show that screen however when you first power it on, you have to cycle through the 3 screens with the Port A/B button to get to that specific screen.
      3. Last charge settings for each port (A/B) are stored when powered down.

    • @Rchelicopterfun
      @Rchelicopterfun  7 месяцев назад +1

      The specs are correct. 10 Watts max discharge per channel (mine topped out at 9W as shown). The 37W is the total balance discharge current of all balance cells combined, i.e. apx 6W per cell (6W x 6 cells = 36W) or 1.5A per cell. In short, you will never get 37W of discharge out of the main, that is the balance port total load specification only.

    • @StephenNZ
      @StephenNZ 7 месяцев назад

      @@Rchelicopterfun Thanks for the reply and confirming that. For the other neo models, they clearly state the balance port can be used for discharging. e.g. Q200neo can discharge at 25W/channel. The D200neo is perhaps only 10W as it has the external discharge option.

    Is there a simple way to calculate what kind of power supply that’s needed to take full advantage of a charger?

    • @Rchelicopterfun
      @Rchelicopterfun  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yep, very simple. Get a PS that is rated at or near to, but not over the maximum rated input voltage of the charger and have the same or more power output that the charger is capable of producing.
      Example: If you had a charger that had a maximum input voltage of 24VDC and was rated at 1000 Watts. You would get a 24V power supply also rated at 1000W or higher Wattage. Since many PS only indicate current output and not power output you would use Ohms law to calculate the power in Watts. Using the 24V/1000W PS example above (24/1000 = about 42 Amps).
      I cover this in much detail on my RC Power Supply Basics Page: www.rchelicopterfun.com/rc-power-supply.html

    Hello, I have a DPS-1200FBA psu with 100A at 12v, I have soldered a 4mm female banana connector to it, I plug it into the neo, I put 1 livh 4s 6500 in each channel and I charge by balancing at 20A per channel, I see that it only reaches to charge at 13A 180w per channel, so it gives me 360w in total, and it does not reach the 800w that it is supposed to give me. Where is the problem supposed to be?

    • @Rchelicopterfun
      @Rchelicopterfun  Год назад +1

      Because you are feeding it substantially less voltage than the 30V rated max input voltage. Maximum rated outputs on all RC charges are given at the maximum input voltage they are rated at; Ohms law in action. There is also the DC to DC conversion loss that has to be taken into account. A 4S LiHv pack is fully charged @ 17.4V (4x 4.35V) while the charger is only being feed 12V. There is power loss in that DC up conversion process.

    • @Rchelicopterfun
      @Rchelicopterfun  13 дней назад

      If you want to get the full power out of any charger, you have to feed it the maximum rated input voltage (in this case 30V). I was feeding it 26V from a 1000W supply to get the 400W per channel with 25V output charge voltage (6S LiPo Pack). You have to use Ohms law to determine the maximum power output for a given input and output charge voltage; without knowing specifically what voltage pack/s you are charging, I'm missing an important value in that equation. Regardless, if you want the full power rating, you have to feed it close to the full input voltage rating.

    • @Rombo-86
      @Rombo-86 13 дней назад

      @ I can relate to that. But I have a 1000w mono channel icharger 4.5-30v input and I can get 450w on a 12v battery. Maybe that’s the same thing.

    • @Rchelicopterfun
      @Rchelicopterfun  13 дней назад +1

      @Rombo-86 Again, it totally depends on the output voltage you are charging at. Twice now, you have not given me that value, so I'm completely in the dark. If for example you are charging something at 24V output and feeding the charger only 12V you are halfling the current and power available. Anyway, Ohms law is your friend and by using it with your specific input and output charge voltage/s, you'll be able to determine if the charger is working as it should or not.

      @Rombo-86 13 дней назад
