  • Maestro Wu (金合利鋼刀)Knives are made on Kinmen (Jinmen) island, a part of Taiwan (the Republic of China). Kinmen is just off the coast of mainland China (the Peoples Republic of China) which has made Kinmen the center of hostilities between the two Chinese governments. Hundreds of thousands of artillery shells landed on Kinmen during decades of bombardment.
Maestro Wu has for nearly eight decades repurposed steel from bomb fragments and artillery shells to make quality knives and tools.

I always enjoy your little bits of history during the knife reviews.

Jesus, I thought you were caring them bombshell knives because they rocked when I clicked on the video. Had no idea they're actual bombshells! I don't get the impression though that that would make for good blade steel.

Thank you for the review. This is a brand I have always been curious about but just couldn't pull the trigger specifically because of the bombshell steel "gimmick" factor along with the pricing.
