LIFE SAVER!!! Traeger tripped the outlet mid smoke because the AC kicked on. Frantically ran around trying to figure out which breaker I needed to reset. After flipping ALL OF THEM with no luck and no luck finding the GFCI outlet I turned to youtube. Found you and what do you know, the GFCI was upstairs on the third story in last bathroom hahahaha SOB!!! Thanks a million. I knew what to look for but after checking a hundred outlets I never thought to check the farthest away in the highest point of the house.

Wow Sir you save me a lot of money aggravation. For a month my outdoor outlets (front and back were not working, as well the light in my garage. Could not figure it out. For my electric yard blower and my electric grill I had to run an extension cord from inside my house outdoors causing the doors to be cracked and the house infested with mosquitos. Well, I was getting ready to barbecue today and said let me go on the internet to see if I can find a fix. The first site I came to was yours and thank goodness. Thank you for saving me a call to an electrician and $60 for someone to cut my grass for me! Outlets outside weren't working and I use an electric lawnmower. The GFCI that was tripped was hiding behind some things in my garage. A simple push of a button, and the issue was resolved.
Thank you very much , this week we have winter cold -30 here in Calgary. So we desperately need that outdoor outlet for my car plug-in. After I search my all whole house I couldn't find any single GFCI tripped either in bathroom or elsewhere but Alhamdulillah finally I found it one under my main switch board which is off. After resetting it my outdoor outlet is working again.

I was charging a boat battery with an extension cord while it was raining. The outlet quit working. I tested it with a multimeter and no power. Found your video and reset the gfci in my bathroom and it is working again. Thanks!!

this popped up in my list of things to watch for whatever reason, and I am so glad it did! for 3 weeks Ive been thinking I had to have an electrician come in to replace (what looks like a new outlet) my outdoor outlet becasue my birdbath heater wasnt working. Tried the usualy stuff and all looked fine. Then I saw this, thinking, no way, becasue all my bathroom electronis were working fine. went and pressed the reset switch and it clicked. me: ?????? *now hopeful* Ran outside with a lamp and plugged it in to the outlet....... nothing! UGH! WAIT! *pushed the reset button on THIS and it clicked! (wasnt doing that before........... when I would press it it wouldnt take*. *plugs lamp in* OMG! You just saved me hundreds of dollars on having to call an electrician! Seriously, this just made my day! Not only do I thank you but all the birds as well (once these temps dip below freezing)! I have 3 outside outlets that did not work. Could not identify the problem. Thought that it was the circuit breaker - no-go. Ok - I have never heard of a GFI for an outside outlet being on an outlet inside the house. I checked in the basement, and found a GFI that had been tripped. Reset it, and everything works! Guess you learn something new every day. Thank you for saving me a ton of money on hiring an electrician!!!

Just spent $80 on two new gfci amd outdoor covers. Installed both and neither would work. Watched your video, then walked into my guest bathroom and the gfci had tripped. Pressed the reset button and voila all sockets are working again. At least I have outdoor sockets that are to code now. Thanks for making this video.

Thanks, Keiffer! Saved me a lot of grief! The reset wasn't in the bathroom so I went around the house to the kitchen were there were 2 resets and finally the garage and that did it! Mine was in the garage for the front porch. I had replaced the outlet - it'd gotten wet from hosing down the front porch and the wires got rusted and I sealed the outer casing with silicone so water wouldn't penetrate again. Hope your channel goes viral. Thanks again, Kieffer!

Thanks for the comment. I forgot the GFI circuit. The tripped outlet was at the opposite end of my house.
