I know this video is a couple of years old, but it helped me with my issue with my 2012 chevy Cruze. The radio was flickering, the StabiliTrak was throwing an error off and on, the power steering would even go out on occasion. I also had my key get stuck in the ignition and I had to use a screwdriver to release it. I replaced the negative battery cable and the issues seem to be fixed. I’m having all the exact same issues you’re talking about, my radio dash lights continuously flash at night when the head lights are on, the headlights occasionally will flicker and my radio turns off randomly when I’m driving. The second I get home and turn my car off, I lose all power to my car, nothing turns on, not even the overhead lights in the cabin, little did I know, I mess with the cable a little bit and it works again, only to shut off on me not even after one full drive. I replaced the negative battery cable with the link you gave us and my 2012 Chevy Cruze works perfectly! You’re seriously a life saver! I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze, and these issues have been going on basically since I got the car in 2015! I've taken it to the dealership numerous times, but since the problems happen intermittently, I could never prove it. Last week the power steering went out while I was rounding a corner. Scared me. I ordered the negative cable that you have linked from Amazon, got the bolt for the ground cable yesterday from Autozone, and the whole thing took about 10 minutes to swap out. Thank you so much for posting this! You really helped me out.

Thank you!!!! I have had the fairly intermittent radio cut, the stabilitrack/dash lighting up, and the power steering cut once or twice when it was doing it - when I hooked up a scan tool it indicated a code for "primary bus A" which sounded to me like a expensive-to-find wiring fault (or possibly bad component.) I guess technically it IS a wiring fault, but basically the easiest-to-fix one possible. Thanks!

Guy is awesome. Here is my problem with 2013 Chevy cruze. I originally noticed that the right side turn signal would not function all the time along with horn. Sometimes neither of them would work. Along with those issues I also found that wipers would come on when horn was pressed. Then to make things worse the wipers would stay in different areas of windshield when I would turn them off. I went ahead and ordered new Ground cable and installed. All the previous problems went away. Thx to vid all problems repaired. And just to think I was going to take vehicle to dealer. Wow did u save me money. Thx buddy

I have a question. What is the part number to the cable that goes with the negative battery cable? Not the negative cable, but the cable that goes into the sensor? I cannot find it anywhere online. Any help will help me so much. Thank You!

Thanks I have a buick verano and the radio keeps deciding it wont start up. No other issues, wonder if this is related since it is based on the first gen cruze. I will have to see if its the same cable and if so just replace it.

Mine started with the radio, when it progressed to killing the whole dashboard while driving I had to address it. A very odd issue to diagnose, luckily it's well known on the cruze

    • @coreyflynn9333

@@DriveByReviews Great thanks. I did take a look yesterday and the ground cable does look very similar. I also noticed it started just this week as the temps started to drop below 20 degrees. I was reading over a Buick forum where others have said the same thing, their radio stopped working in low temperatures. I believe it is going to warm up this week so I may hang tight to see if it happens still and address it if its not fixed.

Bought open box OEM cable from Amazon...less than 6 bucks. Same problems! Bought a 6G battery cable. Ran it parallel...then jumped the car! Nothing! Hit the start button and everything turns off! The battery is at 12.7 volts....and passes a load check...Guess I'll try a shotgun next!
