The wood really looks great. For reference, I believe the chisels are actually "gouges." Just for anyone searching the interwebs.
I'd Personally would have just taken a torch and a wire brush to antique the wood and make the grain pop out. it would also save on time too
That’s a fantastic idea, the reason I went hand held like this is I didn’t have the ventilation for a setup like that and also I didn’t think of it!I might revisit with the torch though….
