I absolutely love watching people in lower leagues juke it out on the ladder, please make more of these
Theres no way this is diamond league, im in diamond and people know how to play, this is definitely gold league or lower
The ladder might be really messed up right now. I’m in masters at 2715mmr. Not saying I’m bad, but I’m also saying I’ve not played 1v1s since 2013 and I was silver then.
I’ve been looking at profiles of other people in masters. And there is ALOT of people in my boat. High ranking low mmr, maybe because of the flooded player base now that sc2 is free masters isn’t as hard to get into

Instead of doing something like Bronze League Heroes, you should totally have a regular video series where you cast (and completely ridicule) your Patreon supporters. That way, you would:
1) Increase your interaction with viewers
2) Get more Patreons
3) Create something exclusive for your Patreons
4) Patreons get bespoke advice on their playstyle (credit to user ‘Not you’ for that one)

The reason people make mistakes like this in lower leagues in games like these is because they are completely thrown out of their comfort zone. Not gonna lie even in masters as Terran if i have a weird game that throws my build order out of wack i can play worse than this haha.
I like that you cast viewer submitted games. I also really enjoy when you do and build orders etc. to help us lower level folks improve.
Lowko, is there a chance to cast some battle royale games like year or so ago? I am talking about 8 player FFA mod in SC2. I really really enjoyed it. Take care.
I love low tier games because you see people without a solid grasp of the game experimenting and using unusual builds. it's not like top end where you see them with a mastery going 'ok, I want this build for this' and you can predict everything. low end you see different styles and units you wouldn't normally see.

I really like you sharing these videos, Lowko.
It keeps things funny and interesting. I like a mix of high and low level games.
I absolutely love munchkin games. Its brilliant! The chad proxy hatchery creep spread, the absolute halfassedness of the cannon rush with two gas. The zerg bile hitting voidrays. the wasted 700 minerals from a shield cannon cannon that gets biled 2 seconds after the probe began warping it in. 10/10.
ZERG HAS 23 WORKERS 10 MINUTES IN.
Woah, I literally did not know there was a button to cancel prismatic alignment - I just assumed the drawback of activating it is that you can't escape easily. I don't main protoss, I main terran, but I play as protoss as a palate cleanser here and there. I will definitely be keeping that in mind next time I want to snipe a building and hightail it out.

Lowko I know you said you were going to keep doing these. I just want to say don't stop. High level games while are enjoyable for the skill. Low level games provide a whole nother level of entertainment.
They can also be instructive. It's why sometimes I watch my own replays and take liberal notes, write down remarks on my (lack of) spawn larva, creep spread, or scouting, and then end with what I think requires the most improvement.
Seeing a lower tier make mistakes and realizing how to overcome those mistakes makes improvement more attainable. Professional players are so much better that it can be overwhelming making any improvement to one's play if you only watch them.
I think you hit it on the head when you made the Florencio comparison. SuperSloth is trying to emulate him and become SewerSloth.

I am 37 years old and even though I don't have time to play in these days because of my family and work commitments, I watch your Starcraft videos for relaxation :-) I definitely like your lower leagues replays wit comment :-) I used to play diamond league (zerg) and although I like watching pro games with comment, lower leagues replays are somehow differently funny to watch and in comparison with GM leagues these poor strategies are somehow viable...and often funny. So keep doing your videos, including lower leagues videos, I love it :-)
Commentators be like, Stats takes gas to transition out of cannon rush since he knows it won't stick, what a strategy, what a great play.
Random player does same thing; Look at this noob taking gas so he can't ever use it... ;)

@@daraenmetaknight8148 ahh come on kid took 1st gas at 1 min, second gas at 2.30 which helped him get the the two stargates and start producing from both as soon as it was up and by 4.30 he has less then 50 gas :) Could he have done it better timing yeah probably but we are not all Serra’s and Maru’s and Stat’s here 😂
To give some context on the first Protoss build, it is not a cannon rush. It is a "laddertoss" build that Maxpax played and Harstem showed in a video. The idea isnt to allin the Zerg, but to force cancels on their hatcheries while you transition into a macro game. Maxpax of course had a much different way of doing this but the idea is the same.
this is diamond OMG i literally just downloaded starcraft 2 one second ago and I could beat both of them with no arms blindfolded no mouse no PC and i am just in bronze 3
My understanding is that everyone plays without blindfolded arms...
Things I've learned for when I get back into SC2 after 8 years:
Always scout the other base spots
Also, every unit in he game is a Bad Boy *except* for Ultralisks, they're Paper Boys.
What I would like to see is a monthly colab video between Harstem and Lowko, maybe roasting user submitted videos once in a while, playing 1v1 with specific rules, (like no more than 50 workers or ban an enemy army unit and the opponent can't build that, etc) that would be awesome!

I get confused when I hear that name...because that is my name xD. Although, I had never heard anyone shorten it to Bran before the books though, and Im in my mid 30s

Every time i watch these i get more scared to do my first placement matches since 2015 to go and get myself put into presumably roughly silver league - because Lowko would just roast the absolute hell out of me.

Lowko, you have to cast those like they are grandmaster level - with excitement and pause and greatly exaggerated sensational reactions
The favorite low tier cast he did was a TvZ where he spazzed out and shook his camera around because Terran kept lifting off his wall buildings to fly over and help Marines kill Overlords on the high ground. Predictably, Zerg rushed into the Terran base.

I mean, it's half the MMR of the pro level, despite still being top ~10%.
Starcraft 2 ranking system is really broken if you think about it.
Majority of the players hang out in plat give or take, and bronze and silver are actually really low on players. I dont know why but even I managed to get silver 2 without any trouble with just like 30 apm and one and a half braincell.

@@xnxGrinder I think any ranking system should have a distribution that looks like a bell curve. Most players in the middle, with less and less as you get to either skill extreme. You don't want the majority of players in the lower ranks.
It is pretty crazy that someone can be in Master League or high Diamond, representing the top like 5% to 2% of players, and be awful at this game from a competitive, "win tournaments for money", perspective.
I remember being high Diamond and competing in a tournament with a $50 first place prize, losing (badly) in my first matchup, and realizing that being competitively good at StarCraft 2 for a pathetic $50 prize, much less for any real amount of money, involved a skill level that could only be attained by someone dedicating the equivalent of a full time job while taking college classes to the game. I became much more impressed by professional gamers after that experience.
I still have to watch it but I already know this will be a awesome game

I played a game of ProtossvProtoss recently. I think it was the most cringey and embarrassing match I've ever played. My enemy was awfully controlling his void rays, he tried to kill my probes but I managed to destroy them all with blink-stalkers easily. Then with an army of stalkers i rush to attack since i'd guess he had like no minerals (he lost like 1000 minerals cause he built alot of cannons and shield batteries. I was about to destroy his 2 bases when like 6 carriers attacked my main. I decided I dont need to come back because If i finish his bases off I'll win.. WELL THATS WHAT I THOUGHT. APPARENTLY HE HAD LIKE 2 MORE BASES ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE MAP WHERE HE WAS PRODUCING THOSE CARRIERS and i ended up losing. lmao that guy even started to make fun of me and ngl im not salty if I would scout earlier the map and come back and defend my base (I had like 200 supply worth of stalkers so those carriers would go down in like 3 seconds) I would've win. I swear I'm never going to write "gg" so early ever again.

If protos takes too much gas while cannon rushing. It's a good thing, because it shows that this person is not a veteran cannon rusher.
