It would be hard to pick a favorite. They are lovely. I have never used building flakes, but I will now. I enjoyed this video. You have a new subscriber.
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment. Yes I love the butterfly. The gilding flakes add a lovely texture to the colour too.
This technique is a game changer! I don’t have to rely on gold cardstock for gold embellishments anymore, and these are way more interesting with the variegated colors!
Aw thank you so much ☺️ yes! Great substitute for gold cardstock for embellishments and you get a much more faux metal look. The butterfly with all the small bits in real life looks like matte or sprayed metal and if you use large flakes it does look more polished and variegated! It definitely adds something unique and different to a card. Thank you for watching ☺️
Awwwwww thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! And I'm sorry you've ended up down the rabbit hole of gilding flakes now 🤣 but I'm sure you'll LOVE them! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment ☺️ I really appreciate it ☺️

I had not thought to use foiling flakes and embossing folders together. I will definitely be trying this out. And much as I liked the foiled butterflies, the partial foiling of the embossing with the words was the standout for me. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Awww me too ☺️ I've had so much fun playing with them. I love the butterfly too 😍 but I love that Tim Holtz embossing folder even if I just put plain white card in it 🤭 thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment ☺️
Aw thank you Irene for taking the time to comment! I do love how the text came out too with the shimmer powders... You could definitely make it more vintage too. ☺️
Love the effects you got with the different embossing folders + gilding flakes. I'll definitely have to keep this in mind. In fact, I have a card to make that this technique might be perfect on. Thank you for sharing. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment ☺️ that has definitely been one of the most favourites!☺️ hope it's given you some inspiration 🙂
Laura, this video does not hold earth shattering new data, but it does hold a big reminder of fun and great results we used achieve. Thank you Thank Thank you, for being back super effects I've not bothered with for well over a year or more. I'm now on the hunt for all my glitter glue tools I'm ready to play again 😂🎉😮 ❤😂 By the way Laura, a really big thank you for showing what the bits that remain look like when you use right to the very end. Colour changes as does whole effect. Gives such a deeper sense of the mixed colours. Loved each and every card made, but have to own the last as my favourite. Thank you once more for sharing your beautiful cards. ,
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment ☺️ it's good to try and remember to use your stash. I think as crafters we go through phases and play with one thing all the time then put it away and forget about it for a while. I am completely new to gilding flakes so I've been trying to think of other creative ways to use them, I think no techniques are ground breakingly new as most techniques have been done before in one way or another or people adapt them. It was a new technique for me but one I was sure probably has been done before. I actually love the effect the small fragments gave, almost like a brushed or sprayed metal. Definitely worth using them up like that for faux metal embellishments. Glad you enjoyed watching ☺️
@@meerkatmakesbyl-cardsbylaura Hi Laura, thanks for prompt reply. Please accept my apologies if you found my opening statement rude, my thoughts we far from that.In fact, totally the opposite.
