Response to the tithe question: The answer Jesus gave when asked on paying taxes to Caesar his response was two fold; Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's (Matt 22:21). Tithe and offerings is God's foundation of government.

The conference is not the owners that is the problem and being blind and knowing that it is being used for extravagance and lawsuits against independent ministries are some of the sins … Enrico

But the viewer's question did not concern those type of games. Everyone knows it's fine to engage in Bible trivia (as long as the fellowship of believers in study & worship is not excluded). What was in question is "goofy" games & sports, etc, and not keeping the day holy.
The Tithe is not to pay but to give! It is biblical!

Hope they reply, cuz I also noticed (a good while back) that it was the Sabbath. But the Sabbath was made for "man", & Jesus is LORD of the Sabbath, so if He commands us to do something it's never wrong, right?!!! 🥰

Joshua 6:3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
6:4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
The seventh day could have been on Monday or Tuesday or any day, the bible doesn't say in 7 straight days they walked around Jericho, they could have walked 6 days, rested on the Sabbath and continued on Sunday
Thanks - I now believe they walked around the city 6 days then kept the Sabbath and did it again on another day most likely Sunday as the text says - walk around it 6 days so God wanted them to honor the Sabbath - so thank's again

What? If there is no specific command that prohibits it, then it is still binding? Take for example, there seems to be no command that prohibits Exodus 31:14 -You shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
So this law of cutting off Sabbath violators is still binding in the NT and even today? There must be a better explanation why tithing is not commanded in the NT. Why don't you expand your search on the Scriptures that there are eternal unchanging laws (apodictic laws or principles) and temporal changing laws (casuistic laws or policies). Then from there we can explore whether or not the NT church and even the early Christian Church continued the elaborate tithing system connected to the discontinued levitical priesthood and earthly sanctuary services. In other words, there are some principles behind tithing that continue while there must be some casuistic aspects that belong only to the priests. Remember in the NT there is a priesthood of all believers. How is the tithing system applied? Also explore that while tithe is holy, offerings are most holy. There are 11 verses that talk about it.
And how many are commanded by God to preach the gospel? All Christians. So how are the OT holy tithe and most holy offerings to be applied to those who preach the gospel should live by the gospel? Read more the whole Pauline epistles about apostle Paul's financial support through tentmaking business rather than from tithing.
well, all who have received light on The Sabbath commandment but still do not keep it shall be cut off.. literally, in Christ's second and third coming, so I see no contradiction. Just because they're not cut off now does not mean they won't (for the longsuffering of God is salvation).
Think about it this way, does God need your tithe? He says every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), if I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is mine and the fullness thereof. (Psalm 50:12). So who then is the tithe for?
It is for us, that covetousness and selfishness may be overcome, and that we should ever keep before us that God owns all things and not we 🙂. We are just stewards of His goods. That's why we return the tithe, not pay the tithe. We easily tend to hoard goods entrusted to us, but these should be used for God's work, that fellow men may hear the Gospel and be turned from the power of Satan to God.

I have watched 2 semons that said Melchizedek was the Holy Spirit with lots of bible verses
that would be extreme fanaticism...he was not a part of the Trinity
Is tithing a moral law or ceremonial law ?? What did our lord Jesus christ nail on the cross ?? Why never ever paul 15:23 preach about the tithing system ??? Paul is preaching about free will giver....because our lord nail the ceremonial law ????
Tithing was not ceremonial because Abraham paid tithe to MElchizedek before the law was given - before there was a JEw.....but you are a thief if you dont pay and all thieves are lost ..so you must pay tithe....read 1st cor. 9.14....those who preach the Gospel are to live of the tithe

I believe it is what ends in your hands, after tax is taken out, but I could be wrong
We return from net. IF we ever reach retirement and receive SS funds we would pay tithe on that then.
As business owners we consider all the taxes they take before we pay ourselves as another business expense, not an increase.
