This is the clearest explanation of this parable I have ever heard. It shifts the focus from the literal second coming of Jesus to the close of probation and the preparation necessary for that event.

The parable of the ten virgins is about the Wise = one who hears and obeys (obedient) [Psalm 19:7, Matt 7:24], Foolish =Those who are disobedient [Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 10:8, Matt 7:26], Lamp = The commandment [Proverbs 6:23], Light = The Law (Torah) [Proverbs 6:23], Oil = Desire for obedience (Pressing/Tribulation) [Lev 24:2].
Lev 24:2 - Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil (desire to obey) from beaten olives (our tribulation) for the lamp (commandment), that a light (the Law) may be kept burning regularly (go forth continually).
Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their [lamps/commandments] and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were [foolish/disobedient], and five were [wise/obedient]. For when the [foolish/disobedient] took their [lamps/commandments], they took no [oil/desire to obey the commandments] with them, but the [wise/obedient] took [flasks of oil/their desire to obey] with their [lamps/commandments]. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, 'Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their [lamps/commandments]. And the [foolish/disobedient] said to the [wise/obedient], 'Give us some of your [oil/desire to obey], for our [lamps/commandments] are going out.' But the [wise/obedient] answered, saying, 'Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.' And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, lord, open to us.' But he answered, 'Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.' Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
Provers 23:23 - Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding
John 16:13 - When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. What is truth? Psalm 119:142 - Your righteousness is righteous forever, and your law (Torah) is true.
This is why the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Yeshua answered them, My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me (John 7:16). He is the Messiah teaching the perfect Torah (Law) from the Father. Believe in the testimony of the One who conquered sin and death and repent, turn from your sin back to His ways - the Torah (Law).
The fact is The Mark of the Beast is the opposite of the Mark of God. Both are on the hand or the forehead. In Deuteronomy 5 and 6 we are commanded to write the Torah (Law) on our hands and forehead. Meaning our actions and thoughts should always be centered on the Torah. The Mark of the Beast is the opposite. It is lawlessness. It is the reason he is called the lawless one.

What is the reference(s) for Early Writings p. 54; my copy does NOT read this way ? Please double check, maybe a paraphrase or newer version. I have the 1942 copy.

Can Pastor Borh explain the versus of Matthew 24:41,42 please.
He has in episode 14 of this Matthew 24 series called "Like a Thief in The Night". Also many years ago he addressed it in a lecture called "1 taken, the other left".
I have NEVER heard this interpretation of the Ten Virgins. I am totally confused now. No one in my church has heard this either. Two interpretations one is right and one is wrong. God help us all.
What other interpretation do you know ? I have always known and heard this interpretation . Sometimes some people say the same thing in a different way .
@@harmonybridge2740 that the Bridegroom coming is not the Second Coming of Jesus that it is Him going in to His Father. I'm just confused. 🤔 Pastor Bohr usually makes everything very clear, this was just confusing to me.
@@willycat7445 Willie, My suggestion is to listen very carefully and prayerfully again and if necessary again. Try to follow the reasoning. Does it seem logical? Do the texts line up? If so receive it as truth. Do a bit more studies on your own with the help of the Spirit of Prophesy. May God bless you in your prayerful, careful, and humble study of His Word.
@@willycat7445 That how I know it , because remember the investigate judgment begins in 1844 and Daniel said he saw one goes to the acient of days . That was describing the judgement scene and the story of the ten virgin does the same .
@Willy Cat It Is of dual complementive or supportive meaning. It does not in any take away from the second coming of Christ meaning that 1 is familiar with. It just describes Christ in approaching His Father. It is very indicative of the literary style of the Bible, where verses sometimes say several things at the same time. The King of the North and the King of the South are some other examples of this. The interpretation is sure.

Btw, the New Jerusalem will descend from heaven! That means it isn't a spiritual place!! You just have to use coming sense!!! It's says right there
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev. 21:2
Lady are you for real , where did you get all these nonsense ? Show me in the bible where it says cloud are people who was risen with Jesus. Show me from the Bible all these things that your saying , because the Bible always explain itself when it speak in symbolic language .

but Heaven is a spiritual place!
Jesus was in heaven -presence of God!
while He was on earth!
God being spirit dwells w/men
that have made -chose to be Holy!
Heaven is not in outer space but inward space
-the mind of Christ -Word of God!
it not a place you go too
but a place you enter in too
or get caught up too! as in higher
His ways are higher!
when we believe enough to turn away from wrong doing!
we turn & enter in by faith! not seeing now! but then we'll see! or appear!
His appearing is in our hearts minds souls of true believers!
There must be more to heaven than we realize. Jesus resurrected and said He was flesh not corruptible but Glorified flesh like we will become. The tree of life is there and we will be eating from it

believing He is working in heaven to bring about Will of God!
to make man-kind look act like Jesus Christ Did!
no longer dealing w/evil [bound] but eating Hs body
& drinking His Spirit -Tree of Life! makes us alive
puts off incorruptible & puts on incorruption!
You sound like a Jehovah Witness , they are the ones who teaches the nonsense you are saying . Heaven is a real place where God live , Jesus said I go and prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you , I will come and again and received you , so that where I am there you may be also .
