- By far and away the quickest way of speeding through
the ticket barriers is with the ScotRail Smartcard.
It stores your tickets electronically and securely -
simply touch in and out at the Smartcard Validator
located at the station where you begin and complete
your journey. Smartcards can also be used at our
Automated Ticket Gates.
To find out more about Smartcard visit www.scotrail.c...
Genuinely helpful.
Roundabout tickets don't work on entry (but they do allowed exit) at Glasgow Central - maybe because they seem to be a "single" fare.
Miss the old days of just show ticket carry on walking.
My ticket never works. Always have to get staff to let me through :(
Obviously this is 4 months later and you’ve probably worked out why by now but apparently if you keep your ticket next to your phone it becomes demagnetised and doesn’t work in the machine
@@dabropsicle8091 I went to London yesterday and I kept my day travelcard in my pocket with my phone at all times. It only stopped working at the end when I was getting back onto National Rail at Blackfriars.
What if we want to trainspot of photograph trains. Is there a platform card, or do we need to buy a ticket for the sake of it
you can buy a platform ticket for 10p
What way do you position the ticket?
if one way doesnt work try the other (orange side up)
magnetic line on the bottom side
Just push through the kids barriers
shut up
What are tickets even needed for anyways?
So you don’t buy tickets when you go on a train? Probably shouldn’t admit that on the internet
What do you think? Idiot
To show that you have paid for your journey
