Wow that is a lot of pink! Is always interesting to see how purge choices are made! Pink goes quickly from my stash with 11 nieces, 6 great and 2 great great nieces! My Mom loved pink and purple so those colors disappear! Ha I have more nephews and great nephews though! I never have a shortage of photos 😀
I can see how pink would go quickly. I have enough nieces but o need my family to send me more photos (hint hint… if they are reading comments 😬). Purple has always been a struggle to build up a good stash. Doesn’t seem to be many collections that feature it or maybe just not ones I purchase ~Melanie
I love purge videos. It is always interesting to me to see what people like & what they choose to purge. I would've made most of the same choices as you.
You did good! A few times my heart hurt when you let a favorite go, but I suppose a necessary evil. Good thing you kept your Pink Fresh if they come back different.
Thanks Suzie. I know there are definitely some that I have chosen to let go that I definitely liked and could use but I do feel really good about having less … which is HUGE for me because I am a gal that likes to have options. Hopefully they will find a home soon and someone will get to use them which would make me happy too. I’m definitely curious to see what Pk fresh will do ~Melanie.
Great job. Do you put all copies of the same pattern, together? Like you stated Prima has 6 of the same pattern. I only keep one and put the rest in a bin in the attic. If I need to replenish, I can pull from there. I had guessed 2 inches of purged, I was close. 😁. When you get ready to distribute your paper, I will be raising my hand. 😁. I am a sucker for pink. A lot of my journals have pink elements. I force myself to do other colors. I like foiled payers because they can add a nice pop of color to a card. Of course some foiled papers are to much. They are in your face foiled. I plan on trying to use my over foiled in some blingy junk journals. I would use the gold foiled circles as pockets or if I scrapbooked, I would use them under photos.
As you will find out I try to be systematic but then promptly change my mind. If I like only one side I will try and keep together of it’s not too much effort. If I have multiples and I like both sides I may split up so both sides are represented. But I try and keep most in the same area and my hope as I go through this is to get more into my colored sections because that is the spot I go to the most often. My plan is to only separate out the items I would use for specific purposes. But we’ll see if I’m successful. ~Melanie
I went through 1/2 my paper and got rid of it. I have been purging so much that my craft studio is looking better than it has in 13 years. It feels so good.
Love this video. You did great with the purge pile 👏 Like some else said, you have a fabulous collection of papers and supplies. I’m working on getting mine to that and am thinking it’ll take me a few rounds of going through stuff to get there. Gotta start somewhere right?
@@ACreativelyCraftedLife there are always papers I see people purge that I wouldn't, for example, I love that paper that had a pink background and flowers in the corners
I love watching you purge! You have a beautifully curated collection.
It’s getting there Nancy. I’m hoping this round of decluttering will get me that much closer. 🤞~Melanie
ASMR...something about watching you purge is quite relaxing....
Glad you enjoyed Maritza… I love watching other people declutter… and you are right it can be relaxing. ~Melanie

Seeing you deal with all the pink papers remind me I should get started on the baby journals for my niece😅 great job at purging
Yes you need to get started and share 😁. I can’t wait to see what you come up for these. ~Melanie
You’re doing an awesome job on purging! So much pink! Keep going you’re on a roll.
Thanks Kay… I’m feeling like I’m in better mind set to let more stuff go. Time will tell ~Melanie
You are my purging spirit animal!
😁 I am in a roll this go round. Which is good … it needs to be done. ~Melanie
WOW - big purge!!! I also LOVE plaid papers. I thought you purged at least 2 inches.
Thanks Kathleen. I may have to do a “Smash Your Stash-plaid/gingam/check” edition. ~Melanie

Me too Tania! And they seem to be a good motivator for me to get the work done. ~Melanie

Wow 1/2 is seriously impressive. I am not quite that brutal… but I do feel good about what I’ve decluttered so far. ~Melanie

Absolutely… and I honestly thing it never quite is there… each time you get closer and my hope is each iteration it goes faster. Baby steps. ~Melanie
I need to purge my paper!!! Not sure I have the strength to tackle it. LOL
It is a challenge for sure. I would recommend taking one small section at a time if you can subdivide it to make it more manageable. ~Melanie
I was thinking it was going to be about a half of the stack
Now let’s not get crazy!!!🤪. I still like to have options ~Melanie

That’s a great guess.. I started this declutter off with a bang! ~Melanie
