Kevin, so far, is the only person who hasn't just fallen down the ladder instead. Like everyone I've watched accidentally fell and Rose just took it like a champ. It's somewhat ironic that Kevin, a man who constantly causes accidents, was safe and climbed the whole way down!
I didn't even know you *could* climb down. I thought for sure she'd die the first time but she really does take it like a champ. Should honestly give an achievement like "Walk it off"

@@puirell I was part of a scouts group - I don't know if it's different in Germany (where I live) and in other countries; it was basically some type of daycare or group activities, where the supervised kids grow up over the years to eventually become the supervisors. well, there was this event called (roughly translated) "summer camp", where the adults watched over the kids for 2 weeks in a camp with tents and so on. One of the events in those two weeks was the "ghost path", where the adults dress up to scare the children. The children have to walk through the woods while the adults hide or show themselves, and scare the kids. It also depends on the age, how bad they scare them. Well, I was part of the youngest kids group back then. And at the entrance of the path, two of them waited; dressed up; motionless; just wore their hoods (you couldn't see their face) and just stood there, not moving. THAT was the one and only part where I was scared and instantly crying xD I am guessing I had this mannequin fear long before I even thought about it... (that was ~20 years ago)

But my mindset to yours was pretty much the same at the end of it that it tied everything up nicely. And I must admit I found it strange that they keep Ethan's face hidden but I personally still got emotional when Rose got to meet her dad "face to face". ☺️💜
My favorite thing is rose saying "what?" Every five minutes with the exact same inflection every single time as if the voice actress had one take so they just replayed it multiple times

I liked that the DLC implied the reason Ethan’s model was used to show someone walking towards the car - was because she can see him now (hallucination of the megamycete) the same way she saw Evelyn as a child and Kal at the beginning of the DLC
I already watched the gameplay of the DLC, but couldn’t miss Kevin’s playthrough. It was super fun to watch even knowing the plot, this playthrough became my fav one! Thank you for your vids and happy birthday. Your content makes me laugh even now, during the worst period of my life.

Another detail to think about: Ethan's wedding ring was lost during Village, when his fingers were bitten off by the Lycans. When he gives Rose the last of his magic, you can clearly see his hand is fully healed, and his ring back too -- which Rose keeps when she wakes, and she's wearing it in the epilogue. This DLC is so good, and enriches the lore just that much more.

This DLC was soooooo good. Made me like 8 more then I did, which I wad a tad lukewarm on. But this and replaying the base game has made me really like it. The tie ins with Eveline from 7 and the cutscene at the end of 8 (which confused me too) was so well done. My heart both dropped and got really excited when getting to the doll house again. The baby part of 8 was the absolute highlight for me and i knew we were in for a horror treat when going back. Boy did they pull out all the punches. Oh. My. God. That mannequin part was horrific. First with the one silently stalking you when doing the doll portions just kinda being there around corners or behind doors. Then when you need to watch it at all times, then by the end like 5 of them are on your tail. it built on that dread so well. I had the same exact reaction when I first saw it move, was so uncanny and terrifying. Was a really cool concept that was very well done! Gave me weeping angel vibes from Dr Who. Thank you for all your wonderful content!

They wanted the player to be Ethan, to actually be him so they always wanted his face to be invisible. Which I find stupid personally. But I cried in this DLC. Ethan connected to me heavily for some reason, like. I think his attitude, his dedication, and just being screwed over for being a great partner and dad just made him my fave Resident Evil character. I still find him dying stupid. And I was hoping this DLC gave us hope he didn't, but no. Can bring back other characters but not Ethan.

When my husband and I started watching your vids back in 2012, you were just a baby!😂 but over these 10 years you have become like that son who’s away on deployment and only communication we get is goofy videos that make us laugh and smile! My husband had recently been saying “when’s that boy going to find himself a nice young lady to boss him around?”😂 and now that you have, well I know we aren’t the only ones who have noticed a more than positive change in your appearance and you just seem much happier!
