Hey Anton, I moved from So Cal in 2021 after 27 years to Idaho myself. Yes, there are black people in Idaho and have always been here. The town I live in was settled by free blacks moving west while the civil war was going on in the east. It's quiet, no crime, clean, I spend 9k less a year in property taxes, my income taxes went from 10.5 percent to 4.3 percent. Left a 3000ft home on .27 acre in California where I bought it for 300K in 2011 and sold it for 1.2 million. Bought a bigger house in Idaho on bigger lot for 400K. Like so many others, the pandemic was the number reason we pulled up and left. I packed everything I could in a 27ft Penske truck, shipped my vehicles, wife in the suburban towing a trailer and we bailed. Been chillin up here in Idaho ever since. I have always been an independent leaning conservative and military veteran.
