Lockdown killed them both Dino stayed behind to protect sideswipe but then they killed Dino and later sidewipe (Dino is also one of my favorite characters but got barely any screen time)

Like I was devastated when Jazz died too but if this makes you feel any better Micheal Bay didn’t kill him off cuz he wanted to jazz died because Jazz wanted to give his fellow Autobots time to evacuate the humans before Megatron got to them so he decided he needed to distract Megatron by trying to fight him which he already knew that was his last day by doing that but it didn’t stop him cuz he needed to finish his last duty by protecting the humans and helping the Autobots Jazz died like a true Autobot that day which is why he is the number one most memorable Autobots in the franchise for me
Hes dead the only one who survived the Cemetery Wind's plan was Dino he survived because they thought he died but he didnt his alternate mode was damage the only one that he can use is his Camouflage mode to hide
