Wow, that sure seems like quite a deal, especially for long term cruising. Lovely boat. A monohul sailboat with an actual engine room is hard to find. Of new boats Kraken 50 got it, but that is a 1,5 million Euro monohul. Otherwise you probably would have to buy a catamaran or a Neel trimaran to get an actual engine room in a new sail boat.
Such a stunning boat and a great deal, as they said it was fate. The boat has obviously been well looked after too. Far too many older classic boats end up with owners who either leave the boat to rot in a boatyard or they just don’t get the maintenance they need and deserve. Hi Jessica, En wat en mooi zeiljacht kom jij deze keer in aan op jou weg tegen wow een Nickelson 58 wat een mooi jacht en wat een ruimte aan boord en het koppel vond het toch wat smal vind eigenlijk wel mee vallen en dan de keuken lekker ruim en genoeg cabines met badkamers weer een top show van jou nogmaals bedankt en kijk weer uit naar jou volgende show 👍👍👍👍
Bedankt Manuel, een heel fraaie boot inderdaad, maar er blijven natuurlijk altijd wensen. Elke boot is een compromis. Eens zien wat de volgende te wensen heeft 😄

So Dat is wel weer een mooi verhaal. Wie koopt een boot in de kroeg hahaha ik vind het geweldig en de prijs helemaal. Wat je zegd over een half miljoen is vaak omdat makelaars (op provisie) er zoveel mogelijk uit willen halen. mooi schip
Ja, zoiets verzin je niet. Misschien een goed excuus om wat vaker naar de pub te gaan 🤔

That’s obviously better for going Accross oceans but much bigger running costs Mist people will say but is it ?
In our experience, the bigger the boat, the higher the costs. Think of things like hauling out, antifouling, standing and running rigging and other parts. Everything is bigger, so more expensive.

A bigger boat definitely increases maintenance costs significantly. Bigger sails, heavier rigging, more systems, berthing costs, insurance etc. One part is buying the boat but maintaining it especially when used as a fulltime cruiser is a big expense.
No such thing as a Blue Water Cruiser, any boat sailed by a true seaman can cross oceans, Web Chiles sailed a Moore 24 single handed around the world without even standing headroom, while couldn't sail any boat acroos oceans
