Sorry George if I’d known you had filmed when you were having clutch issues I’d have taken a few photos of the master cylinder when I removed and stripped it the other day. Some corrosion causing the internal piston to stick, hopefully now cleaned up it will work ok until we can get either a new one or send it away for refurb during the winter 🤞
What a beast, have happy memories of days on the mighty FW-30 over 30 years ago now - happy days!😁 Don’t think you can beat the sound of that huge V8 either, much as I like the big 6s too.
Excellent vid George, for a minute I thought “Time Team” had turned up and found some old tiled flooring!! 😮😂. Quote of the day from George - “ front brake is worn it’s all a bit on the wonk” 😂😂😂😊
Great video George 👍 i really couldn't believe it when the old Cummins said ok ive given you all my ponies 💪💪💪😕 be really interesting to see the 225 on it reckon she'll be a few ton lighter 🙄👍
Twenty plus years ago I used to have a fw 30 I put thousands of hrs on her pulling 3 meter simba mono and 6 meter discs and press and sometimes discs and wibergs. Clutch change on them is a cab off job and bolts behind a plate under the bell housing with a spanner, not an easy job ,both of the front Tyres were water ballasted also she pulled like a train
I know I’m no arable man (just about class as a grass man i think 🤔) I didn’t think you’d need all those ponies of the FW but I guess I was wrong! 😳 That was tight.
How fw is on fuel? In east EU soviet era analogs were so much turbo boosted and fuel went so much into engine you loosed half fuel as black smoke. But some had powershift on some gears. Range change was manual
Well she went well George the old girl sounds really well, just hope for you that clutch hold out. So what's happened to the Fast track has she been parked up!!! I think you should buy a tidt Ford 7000 to work around farm and of course I don't think it will be long before we see a monster John Deere on your farm a real tractor 😂😂
Those old tractors were good. And of all of them I liked the fords the best. They looked the best
That’s where the D8 really comes into its own, slow revving 20.4L lump never gives in. 💪💪💪

Good to see you put the FW through its paces . Nice explanation on using the Ceres mole . Excellent video George 🚜 🔧 👍
Great note of the TW when she is getting it tight. Another great video of George and again everything well explained.

Great work George👌👍🙏😎
Our local farmer is using a tracked D7 double mole...awesome watching old machinery still doing its job....
9:13 awesome bark. Love it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🇬🇧
Excellent video George. The FW certainly has some pulling power, very impressive considering that it has not worked hard for a number of years.
Cracking video George nice to see the TW working away 👍👍👍
Thanks George cracking vid.... Take care sir...
Just about to comment that you needed an old CAT, and you said it yourself. Most proper old school drainage contractors still use them for a reason.
Good Evening George, Very interesting video all the best.🚜🚜⭐️👍👌
I think you mean synchromesh gearbox George, but it does sound nice the engine that mole drainer is certainly giving it something to do !
Test drove one years ago at American tractors near Bedale.
Great Video George, you're doing a great job there, just be gentle on the FW30
Pull out a bit earlier, and keep on moving, ever the gentleman George…….lol 👍👌🤣🇮🇲
Hi George Nice One thanks again
Another great video George FW sounds great👍🚜😊
I'm glad you dropped it down a bit more.
Great video George 👍 i really couldn't believe it when the old Cummins said ok ive given you all my ponies 💪💪💪😕 be really interesting to see the 225 on it reckon she'll be a few ton lighter 🙄👍
5:54 heavenly purr. 👍👍👍🇬🇧
It’s doing a cracking job mate 👍 sorry to hear about the clutch though, you don’t want to burn that up £££££
She needs that turbo, George 💪🏼
I'm thinking a straight pipe would sort all those issues. 😉
Great one George. 👍
Need to see more of the Implement working.
mind you don't spin the tyres on the Rims, back in the day my FW30 did that in hard ground with a V form.. be carefull

Well done you found the limit 😊
Fine view out over the bonnet
B along. Time. Before. U. Can. Afford. The. New. Fast track George. 🚜😊❤️👍
If it was struggling early doors, to change gear….just check the clutch hasn’t got an oil contamination…..👍
Recon get the gremlins sorted out and get a few hours on the clock and it will come together George 👍
Hate to be the one paying when it breaks down. Still love the fw range.
12:58 the Wash Monster at Hunstanton. If ya know, ya know. 👍👍🇬🇧
On your spools push it forward all the way and that’s in the float position
Interesting to see how the 225 handles it. Modern conventional against classic articulated will there be a massive difference????
I had never heard of moving or seen it done before. Where does the material displaced by the mole go? Is it pushed upwards?
Old tractors (especially Ford) rock
I know I’m no arable man (just about class as a grass man i think 🤔) I didn’t think you’d need all those ponies of the FW but I guess I was wrong! 😳 That was tight.
Suff pipes George 👍

I think most older tractors don't have a float position on the spool valves. Only on the 3 point linkage is there a float setting.
I can see why she didn't like it that clays like concrete.
Huntingdon and St ives is the same
Hallo george Nice Film from ford fw30 at underground cutting. When the ford restaured is is the machine as New
Always always pull out early 😂😂
2:34 That's what she said 😂
Pull out earlier Jethro had that line😂😂😂
She’s a honey I used to sub soil with a single leg driving Massey 575 😊
I wonder if they could engineer a slotted linkage to allow you to run it without float.
Well she went well George the old girl sounds really well, just hope for you that clutch hold out. So what's happened to the Fast track has she been parked up!!! Why are you only pulling one leg that will pull 2 maybe 3, in 1980 we had fw60 pulling 3 sometimes 4 in very heavy clay ??
Should have twins behind
Back wheels with Tina turner legs about eight
Which pull down for grip
Holly moley need D8
george, have you ditchs on each end of field
👍👍
V8 engines don't generally produce that much torque - really gotta rev them quite high to get any kind of performance.
If not a d9 what about the belarus.....?
Not enough beans, call in the quadtrac
Trade it 😂 get a 60😂😂😂
Personally I hate to see it cultivated ahead of the mole.
Silly place 4 a gear lever
Hi are you pulling the guts out of the old girl
🚜🐄🍶🇬🇧💡👌
Great old tractors, but purely brute force and ignorance!
get rid of that old tractor and get a newer one and faster.🚜👍
Pull out a bit earlier, and keep on moving, ever the gentleman George…….lol 👍👌🤣🇮🇲
😂👌
Put it in at that angle. Obviously it's a long 'ol leg, like. Pull out a bit earlier and keep on moving. 😂😂
