He sings so wonderful from his heart and soul!
The passion he sings with is his love for the Lord and he believes every word he sings.
He was a wonder child and absolutely adored by his teachers at universaty, he is never to good to be teached and to learn. Its his humbleness that makes him so good.❤

Absolutely beautiful. He sings Unchained melody. So beautiful. He sings with his daughters for those tears I died. Again so beautiful.
He is the king of breath control, for sure. He'll hit & hold straight notes all day long and trail them into soft vibrato so perfectly... other great examples are Live Like a King, No More Night, & Mary Did You Know (though there's no shortage of them really). Can't wait to see which David Phelps song you do next! Love it.
He does all this and more and the amazing thing is he has asthma.
David Phelps is classically trained… he is the most awesome artist I’ve ever heard… this version of this song was done in 2020 during the pandemic and this video was filmed in his barn with his daughters as back up singers & his band… Of course he has the talent to go with the training👏💕
All of his children are great singers as well. His son and him sing a song together called "Eye to Eye" great song on not always seeing it the other way. His daughter Maggie Beth was singing the high harmony in this song and does a lot of his high harmonies in his newer stuff. His other daughter, sorry don't know her name sings alto I believe and backs him up as well. Super talented family, and it starts at the top!
The high harmonies are his daughter, Maggie Beth. All of his kids can sing amazingly as well.
David was trained in Bel Canto, a type of classical singing. He has been in a few musicals as an adult.
You might enjoy listening to him singing “Being Alive” a recording with Voctave and “All I ask of you” (singing in his studio).
Also he was in a musical called “Quanah” five years ago, there is a video of him performing one of the songs from it.
He has sung many ballads. Two of my favorites are “Can’t help falling in Love”(Elvis) and “Written in Red.”
His voice is like a perfectly tuned musical instrument, especially in “Written in Red.”

He is classically trained, but he sings from his heart - to share the message of Jesus Christ. That cannot be learned!! He is phenominal at delivering a nessage!!!! He makes you feel every word and touches your soul to the core!

Brother, glad you have found David Phelps. He is a gospel singer, who at 53, is just as strong as when he was 33. He is undoubtedly the best tenor, period, of any musical genre. A male version of Whitney Houston, so to speak
He’s classically trained. Those are his daughters singing back up. He’s 52 here and better than ever. I know 1st hand bc I just saw him in concert.

Desrescendo is the opposite of a crescendo? Like, singing a note and going downwards?
