I’m crying with you, I can also relate to losing my middle child Shane to type 1 diabetes . My mom passed in 2023. David never fails to impress’s. God gave him a gift and he uses it well, never disappoints. God is Great
Dennis I sat and cried with you!! I lost my dad December of 2021 and while listening to this song I just couldn't help but say thank you dad for such a beautiful and great life that you lived and also for giving me such a beautiful life!! God is so so good!
David never writes “sad” even about his lowest times and brokenness. What I Need Is You, is a great example of that. He always writes about hope. If you want another good cry, David wrote On Heaven’s Shore after his sister died of breast cancer and Legacy of Love after another friend died unexpectedly.
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. - Psalm 56:8 (NLT) Tears 😢 are pretty important to our Creator….He has them all! #realmencry #HOPE #Jesuswept #phelpsphreak So sorry about your Dad & Mom….mine Daddy went Home in 2015. PTL we have the HOPE in Heaven and do not grieve as though with NO hope!!!!! YES! We will be reunited one day! I will introduce myself. 😊
We spent the Labor Day weekend at David's house for the annual Labor Day Barn Bash, he sang this song a few years ago at the Barn, it breaks me every time. This song describes my Grandpa perfectly. David's gift is incredible.
Just watched your reaction to this beautiful song, have watched your reaction to other songs of David Phelps, he is obviously a gifted singer who uses his talent for the Lord. I would like You too react to "Song for Sinners"if you haven't already done so. Thank you so much
I don’t understand how artists can perform songs like this without loosing it. Maybe because they have sung it so many times, but I’m having difficulty getting through it. It’s so beautiful! Thank you for your reaction and for posting this!!
My grandma is 96 and she's told us this month that's she's ready to go home. This song hits differently after the conversation. Thank you for your genuine reaction.
Thank you David for writing such a beautiful song, and thank you for sharing your heart! Coming up on the anniversary of my husbands passing in a few weeks, so tears are flowing. I didn’t get to say goodbye, but know he flies.
That song moved me to tears! Especially the backstory and the commentator's loss of his dad recently...his parents. Thank God for that hope that gives us sweet peace.
Hey brother, you don't have to apologize because of RUclips and what they try to pull. Great reaction. Our family recently lost a family member to cancer. Seeing him go through that and still keep a smile on his face day after day and knowing the kind of pain he is living with was bittersweet. What I mean by that is his smile will live on in memory but not being able to see him until our day of rejoicing together in heaven. Such a beautiful song. Your reaction is honest and pure. No need to apologize for the character and heart you have. Stay Blessed brother.
I lost 3 men in my life in a span of 6 months. Lost my dad in Oct '20, my husband in April '21 and the day after my husband I lost my father-in-law. The only thing that pulls me through is knowing we will all meet once again and fly into the arms of God. Blessings to you.
I lost my younger brother, a friend I worked with for 20 years, and my uncle all died this past year. You're so right! This sorrow is temporary! I'm so sorry for your losses!! I've lost a dad, but I can't imagine losing a spouse!! May the Lord continue to comfort you in tangible ways!!
I feel your pain. I too lost my dad last year , a great friend in may, 2 weeks later my neighbor next door shot himself, our great friend this year in Jan and 2 weeks later lost my husband Feb 3rd, 2023. Jesus was a man familiar with sorrow but I don't have it in me for much more. My soul cannot bear much more but found music and God's Word, David Phelps music mostly to help getting me through. We played No More Night at my dad's graveside and my nephew sang Until Then at my husband's graveside with a Missing Man flyover. I can't hear his songs without a sense of peace and comfort knowing I will meet him again. All is well.
Hope Indeed! David always gives us HOPE in the Lord and a His beautifully gifted voice, songs and arrangements. You reacted the same way so many of us have repeatedly! Blessings and thank you!
Thank you for sharing your heart with us, David's songs, messages, and vocal causes a lot of us cry - a LOT. His messages are so real and relatable to our lives here on earth and the eternal life we have been promised.
This song is just beyond moving and beautiful. You can always feel David’s emotions when he sings. I have really grown to enjoy your reaction videos, Dennis. I admire your “realness” and not being afraid to show your emotions. It makes me, as a listener, feel like I know you as a friend. I felt my Dad in that song just like you did. Sending you a big hug from Duluth, Minnesota. ❤️🎧❤️
Thank you for showing us that men can be vulnerable. I've been with my husband 27 yrs and have seen him tear up twice and I can cry at a drop of a hat. My heart cries for happy and sad. God bless you. I love the music you react to. It's always so beautiful
Don't feel bad at all for your tears, you are no different than thousands of us that cannot hold them back listening to this song. I might have told you before, but my understanding is that the Holy Spirit is water from the well that never runs dry. The way this song and performance hits us, it opens that well and the water flows and we cannot withhold it all so it overflows, sometimes long after the performance is over.
amen brother we will see our loves again my mom and dad are in heaven my 2 brothers my bestfriend my husband and love of my life David's music brought me thru all my loss he has a voice of an angel thank you for sharing I feel your pain from loss that song is hope
David is amazing and this song is beautiful!! Your reaction I so love and I’m sorry about the loss of your Father. Rejoice for you will see him again one day!
I love this … David is not just a Phantastic singer and artist but a great writer… love this♥️ Your reaction is so real… this is such a beautiful song and so comforting. Thank you💕
Dennis, I just happened upon your channel maybe a week ago and I have to say, I love your content and your emotions are just that, never apologize for them, they show you are human and have a heart.. This song touched me on the deepest level as I lost my beautiful sister to Cancer in 2020 and I was with her via facetime, I slept with my computer on all night for 3 nights, I was not about to leave her side, she knew I was there before she started transitioning to the other side... I was with her when she breathed her last... but to make a very long story short, my tears were falling like rain throughout the whole video... Thank you so much for posting..
This man lost his wonderful sister to cancer. She was much too young as far as what we as humans are concerned, but of course God knows when our time is appointed. As always, David knows how to take a citation and write a fantastic song about, but even more he can slay us all by performing and conveying the message as no one else can.Amen
I'm just now seeing this reaction video . What a heartfelt reaction to David's beautiful song. I cried my eyes out when I first heard this song, thinking of my beloved Husband that passed away in my arms over 12 years ago. It still brings me to tears. Love you brother ❤
I love what u do,, and I lost my Pop in February of 2022,, I with u and David Phelps is my role model,, I'm and singer myself and look up to him keep doing what ur doing,, Amen brother in Christ
"That sounds like home to me" by the "Gather Vocal Band". David Phelps voice is so amazing in that song. They are all great amazing singers. You will not be disappointed . I am crying to brother. I have lost both my parents, three siblings, a niece at 17 Years old and my best friend. Most within months of each other. I get it. I have so much pain. David helps me with this. God bless you.
Mercy and joy kissing in the human heart. Dennis it is beautiful to see a man reduce to tears when he beholds the truth of Jesus' promise to His followers. Thank you for your gentle and beautiful spirit. God bless you
Don’t apologize for your feelings! They are precious and important! We are all touched, so deeply touched by the message and the meaning and the performance of this amazing song by David! He is such a uniquely gifted and anointed young man, being used by God. And David will only know how much God has used him in thousands & thousands lives when he gets to heaven!😇❤️✝️🔯
Know how much you love listening to the pristine voice of David Phelps. Highly recommend 'For Those Tears I Died" with his daughters Callie and Maggie Beth
My daddy died (of cancer) too...just 5 months after your dad. He had that moment too, where he woke up & said, "IM NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!". It broke our hearts. I knew he was disappointed, scared, & suffering when he asked for Ativan & Morphine to "knock him out," as he said. We gave him what he wanted, & I waved a paper plate over his head to fan him into comfort so he could fall asleep...I was so worried he'd be uncomfortable & suffer more that even after he fell asleep, I kept waving that paper plate until someone grabbed my hand, pulled it down, & said, "you've been fanning him for 2 hours straight....he's asleep like he wanted....you can stop now." My clenched hand was numb around that plate. He never woke up again. Daddy was the one who had introduced me to David Phelps. This song was one of his favorites. Thank you for helping me not be the ONLY person to cry today. Felt nice to not be alone. Much love.
David's concert 'Classic' is amazing, as expected. "The Dream" is an absolute must react!!! Another one of his original songs. "Moonlight" is also great. Don't deprive yourself of the joy... just listen to the rest of it... you don't have to "react" to everything... lol. Merry Christmas!!!!
David lost his sister(she was about 40 years old), who played the trumpet in some of his early videos. She had reddish curly hair and older than David, and a stellar trumpeter! David sat by her beside constantly and may have been there when she passed!
When someone this blessed with a voice and song writing ability who time and time again is able to move and stir the Holy Spirit within us, it is because he is annointed by God to do so. When we cannot withhold the tears of joy inside us, then we shoud not feel any shame because of it. I believe the Holy Spirit controls the water inside us, so when it fills us to overflowing it just flows to the degree we are moved by the joy we simply cannot contain. We are not losing it, because it is an endless fountain.
Hello, im new to your channel, and there's a song id love yo get your thoughts on...its one I've shared with many mothers whove had abortions, many like myself who have lost to a miscarriage, and the ones whove lost children of any age really, its just so beautiful. I love the way you are reaching hearts for our Fathers kingdom! The song is jesus has a rocking chair by the greenes
Real men cry. Jesus cried. Tears are cleansing and they bring us comfort. You’re a good man! I’d be proud to have you as my friend or brother. Speaking of brothers does David ever talk about his sister that died of breast cancer? His one sister plays the trumpet with his band and his sister that passed away use to sing with him all the time up until she died. She was a beautiful woman. I can’t remember her name. The last time I saw her perform with him, when they were done singing he went behind where she was standing and he kissed her and gave her a hug. It was obvious that she was very weak. That was the last time I saw her. I don’t remember David ever talking about her. Maybe it was just too painful for him. When I watched him kiss and hug her I cried the rest of the day. All I could think of was what it would be like for me to lose my only sister.😢Our oldest son passed away 3 years ago from a very unexpected heart attack. He had no history of heart disease and he had a physical not too long before he had died. Doctor said he was in excellent health. There were no drugs or booze in his bloodstream. So I guess there just aren’t any guarantees. We aren’t promised any tomorrow’s. Our Son was divorced and had 2 children and an x-wife that lived in Fairbanks Alaska. Greg was a very successful drummer, master plumber, Christian, loving father and an accomplished race car driver. Everybody loved him. He was always helping people. In Alaska it’s a pretty crude wilderness. Sometimes it gets down to -40’. The Eskimos up there are called Indians. When people come home from work at night they almost always park in their garages and then they lock the car doors and bring the keys in the house with them. Not Greg. He left his truck outside in his driveway, unlocked, with extra blankets and pillows, heavy warm socks, wool long underwear, heavy down jacket or coat, wool hat, a couple cans of beer, a couple bottles of water, a couple Bible tracks to read, a lamp that he had plugged into a socket in the garage that he ran under the garage door. And he left him a New Testament and a couple of Western’s. He also left the guy a bunch of food. A bag full of McDonalds food, some milk, some of those pies that they sell, a bunch of paper napkins and anything else he could think of. He told him if he needed to go to the bathroom he could lift up the garage door and over in the corner near the stairs there was a 1/2 bath and shower and he could help himself. There was fresh clean towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush, comb and brush, slippers, tissues, toilet paper, shaver, deodorant, laundry detergent, and a washing machine is on the other side of the garage and a dryer is there too but it doesn’t get too awful hot so you have to watch it. And there’s an old microwave in the garage you can heat up your McDonalds food in and there’s paper plates. Now here comes the big ones! Please do me a favor and try to keep the place picked up a bit. Feel free to keep anything you might want or need for yourself or for one of your friends. You might notice it’s a bit dusty. That’s because I haven’t had any body here in my truck or in my garage or in my house since my son Greg died 3 years ago. Greg had good people savvy. I don’t. I’ve been screwed over a bunch of different times by pieces of crap that if I knew what I should have known when they stole from me I would’ve done the right thing, evened up the score and then killed the good for nothings. They weren’t fit to be called men! What kind of low life men steal from a helpless woman who’s alone and trying to make her own way in the world? You are good men and you’d never mistreat another person. Well I’ve rambled on again and again and for that I hope you can find it it your heart to forgive me. I have found your company to be so sweet and spiritually honest and special. I can’t remember when I’ve had such a rewarding conversation with anyone in all my life. I hope I’m not embarrassing you by my frank conversation. I’ve just never been one to beat around the bush or mints words or play games. No one ever wonders what I’m thinking because I just come right out with it. So far I haven’t lived to regret my words and I hope I never do. Time will tell. Oh my, and now it’s 4:05am. I’m always up half of the silly night! And you know who else is?? My friend Elon Musk. Twice now he’s asked me to come to work for him in his Tesla Plant. He’s 51 and I’m 69. My husband is 79. I told him I am retired and the only work I would ever be interested in doing again would be working for myself out of my home. My husband was the head set up man at Carrier Corporation for 36 years. He flew all over the world with all of the big shots in their private jets to inspect and purchase machinery for Carrier. He invented things and was paid for his ideas, etc…He was very well respected and had many reward dinners in his honor. Oh well enough about me. I’d love to hear all about you my friend. Take care and God bless.✝️♥️🤷🏻♀️
I’m crying with you, I can also relate to losing my middle child Shane to type 1 diabetes . My mom passed in 2023. David never fails to impress’s. God gave him a gift and he uses it well, never disappoints. God is Great
