    Brother I recommend you get yourself a bat so you don’t have to worry about getting pelted w your own ice when the sob gets in the chest. Other than that just work on gettin the gaff under the fish and lift, the gaff will do its job

  • @jima4656
    @jima4656 6 лет назад +1

    If you get a gaff with a smaller hook, you will have an easier time sinking it into fish that size. Also, if you pop open an artery in the gills or slice the tail to bleed them out when you first catch them, it will improve the quality of the meat you end up with. Nice job out there. You certainly know how to find them & hook them.

      KAYAK FISHING ZONE check out the blog section of the pnw Jetski Fishing website, I have an article about this. The fishpro is a pretty sweet setup, if you’re looking for something ready to go outa the box. If you’re looking at doing custom rigging, the Yamaha FXHO or Kawasaki ultra LX are my preference. Stability on the fishpro can’t be beat without adding pods or floatation collars to the other models, which is nice

This old traditional shaped head is a disaster....Look at the Rusler Jet Ski Gaffs with it's diamond shaped head and machine milled three way cutting edge point...All stainless steel! You will never miss again either from above or below the target...Oh! and made in New Zealand.....where quality still means something !! I could also add the investment of not a bat but the refinements and effectiveness of an IKI Tool!

    It looked like your ski was taking on water. That’s so dangerous being out that far with a little jetski. A huge tiger shark or great white could tip you over for your fish.

    Do you have an opinion on the new fishermans pro model from,sea-doo?

    • @PNWJetskiFishingLLC
      @PNWJetskiFishingLLC  6 лет назад

      yonderdan I have never been that impressed with seadoo, and while it has some cool features, the cost for what you get isn’t worth it. A new Kawasaki gives you nearly $5k to customize with before your into the cost of a fish pro

      yonderdan Kawasaki Ultra LX, Yamaha FXHO, or seadoo GTX/fishpro. Try them all, compare reviews, and specs, & do what makes sense for what you do. They all have pros/cons. My preference would be in the order listed.

      @PNWJetskiFishingLLC  6 лет назад

      John Holmes for the most part they leave you alone. We see them fairly often tuna fishing, and have only seen 1 nearshore (though I’m sure there’s been more close by, just the water is too murky to know)
