So cruel, why would you want to see his rig breakdown in middle of ocean? I'm a father and qualified to make bad dad jokes. Ok, I'm leaving now, sorry.
Ok I'm intrigued with seadoo fishing now. Your technique is so good you make it look easy. Only problem is I have the Seadoo but I don't have the ocean. Dang it, I need to move now! Thanks a lot. Lol
Amazing video, would love to see a video of the whole trip planning, launching the jet ski, how it is operated, and maybe the jet ski rig as well. Great videos bro. I'm in San Diego too!
Brilliant.. Im thinking about buying the new Sea Doo set up for NE fishing. Live in Montauk our blue fin and sharks are close in the summer. Great fishing TKS u.
I’d be scared cleaning that fish with my feet un the water after pouring all that blood in 👀😅 awesome job tho and great fish! I would love to experience this!
Hey Eric, The rod is a Diawa 8'10" Proteus Boat HF Model number PTB810HF 55-100lb Braid The Reel is a Tranx 500HG with a larger crank added. Line 80lb braid with 100lb mono leader
Thanks Tony! Yeah so much fun man. Very lucky to be able to get out and do it. Even when you don't catch anything it's nice to be on the water and there's always something new to check out.
Bro, just found you! Been jetski fishing too here in NJ. Mostly off artificial reefs but no tuna yet. Quick question: are there sites from Santa Cruz to San Francisco that are jetski fishing friendly? Coz i will be assigned in that area permanently in the next two years. I hope to bring this hobby with me to California.
Thanks! Yeah always like getting out there and away from everything on a little solo adventure. The double kill bag works great. Especially if I'm out there for a really long time on a hot day keeps the ice nice and crispy, and I can always pull the inner bag out if I get a couple big boys and need the room. This day was't too far out, about 10 miles.
What jet ski do you use and what is that bag you store the fish in? is it just like a mini inflatable raft with like a yeti bag on it or is it one piece?
Where do you draw the line for wind/swell/period to not go out on the ski? Is it usually a few weeks out of the year where tuna are within ski range or is the window much wider?
3 hours drive at that speed?????? that's crazy! very dangerous, does your jets has some cargo attachment in back? it looks pretty long; also what do you think of seadoo fish pro jetski?
Typically not going very fast when I'm out looking around for fish or birds. Around 20 miles an hour I would say. And slower obviously if I'm trolling but for the most part if I'm searching between 15 and 25 miles an hour. Also depends on the conditions and how bumpy it is. And if I'm carrying beat that's an added factor and I'm usually a bit more smooth with my driving. With the three 5 gallon gas cans high I am usually able to do about 130 miles or so. I just finished making a new system for fuel on the back which carries more and I should be able to do about 180 miles.
What are the real benefits you see of this vessel vs a small fiberglass or aluminum boat? I cannot imagine there is an economic benefit or even a significant fuel savings/efficiency element. Storage maybe? Cheers on the catch.
How is the ride in rough water? You must get really wet? Considering buying one. Also- Is it completely uncomfortable with 2 people fishing? Cheers! Looks sick!
Guy you're slow and gonna get attacked, I like your videos but get too it! Just gut that Tuna , Cuz! If you don't take my advice and seriously get it together Tiger , Bull or White will come to you. Stop that I'm serious. You hit it with a six inch curve in the gills! Have the bag ready gut the fish Standing up and get off that Blood spot. SMGDH
Worse mistake i made hooking a 150+ on the same exact set up. That stupid eye loop guide thing doesnt follow the line on the way out. So all the line on the right side of the spool the line will cross over and get cut up against the line guide.
sick!!! would love to see a breakdown of your jet ski rig/ how you keep everything organized
yes what do you have in the back looks like a paddle board or some kind of raft holding extra fish bags...
So cruel, why would you want to see his rig breakdown in middle of ocean?
I'm a father and qualified to make bad dad jokes. Ok, I'm leaving now, sorry.
Dudes bleeding tuna with the legs dangling! 🤯 no fear! Haha
Just reading this comment made me shiver

Yeah true! I thought about that after the fact as well. Thanks and have a good one
Nice ! ! ! How far out you go. Any size tuna caught like that beats any tuna caught on a MCsporting trip ,
Thanks!. This trip I think I maxed out about ten miles out so not too bad
Can you share the specs of rod and reel you’re using? Bad ass video!
Hey Eric,
The rod is a Diawa 8'10" Proteus Boat HF Model number PTB810HF 55-100lb Braid
The Reel is a Tranx 500HG with a larger crank added. Line 80lb braid with 100lb mono leader
@@ReidRunner I appreciate the reply! Did adding the larger crank effect your your reel to engage when throwing lures?
Awesome edit mate 👌 how good is tuna fishing!
Thanks Tony! Yeah so much fun man. Very lucky to be able to get out and do it. Even when you don't catch anything it's nice to be on the water and there's always something new to check out.
@ReidRunner 100% mate! Any fish are just a bonus 👌
Well…..I’m impressed!! A prepared fisherman!
Thanks Colin! Definitely gotta stay organized on the ski or things end up at the bottom of the ocean. I speak from experience 😂
Nice setup! Nice fish!

badass channel
Very cool:
- when was this?
- where about were you.
- why don’t you put a rope loop around the tail, like they do on “Wicked Tuna”?
bro can you show us how your jetski is setup? it doesn't look like the fishing model but a custom rigged? thx
the sandwich can tuna or caught tuna and if caught tuna what you cook it and add mayo
Just canned tuna my girlfriend made me for lunch 🤙
@@ReidRunner word word crazy that we cant make a tuna sandwich with our caught tuna doesnt taste the same lol
Yeeeeeeet‼️⚡️⚡️⚡️
not only bleeding it freaking cutting it in the jet ski 🤙🤙
Pain in the butt but gotta take care of them!
What jet ski do you use and what is that bag you store the fish in? is it just like a mini inflatable raft with like a yeti bag on it or is it one piece?
When are you going out again?
I'm not really sure when I'll be going out again, probably late spring or something when the season starts heating up again
Epic!
Where do you draw the line for wind/swell/period to not go out on the ski?

This is nice Dam a kayak do you do tours or take people out I'm ready...stay safe and keep Hooking em

hi, how fast do you drive jet ski on open ocean? what is your setup range?
Typically not going very fast when I'm out looking around for fish or birds. Around 20 miles an hour I would say. We need a bigger boat !

He can go further and faster on less fuel than any boat. He can also store it in any garage.
Badassery!!! Riding Solo !!!!
How is the ride in rough water? You must get really wet? Considering buying one. Also- Is it completely uncomfortable with 2 people fishing? Cheers! Looks sick!
bro i have a 30 foot bayliner and im not as organized as you
haha! Gotta be on the ski. I've learned after dropping and loosing so much crap
@@ReidRunner ditto lol
Is that a shark at 5:49 ?😮😮😮😮
Luckily just a seagull hangin out!
We need a Break down of the ski setup . 🎣
Currently in Indonesia, but I’ll get one done once I get back in August 👌🏼
wait when was this ! in January?!
Did anyone else see the shark fin over his shoulder at about the 5m49sec mark
Awesome catch! Which GPS do you have? Does it have a fish finder as well?
nvm I just found where you posted your gear. thanks!
