So I texted the junkies this morning, letting them know the video was going live. They send me a video of them on the boat this morning, wind blowing 30mph, taking waves over the bow in freezing conditions… Maniacs! 😂
@@RyanMorie you need to get up here a little earlier in the year for some epic yellow fin. Not the same size wise as Louisiana or Central America but iv seen 50 plus fish days on light jigging set ups many times jersey gets slept on bet when the fishing is good it can’t be beat
DAMN! LETS GOOOOOOO ! Tuna Junkies are local legends. Nothing but respect for them 🫡 I'm so happy you were able to get out there with them and share their story! I know I sound like a broken record, but PLEASE don't stop creating 🙏🏼 Everyone reading this, hope you have an amazing day!
This is up there as one of the best films I’ve watched in a while. Great inspiration chasing Southern Bluefin Tuna down here in Southern Australia next season. Thank you!
Over all this video was epic it had everything! James was amazing especially on the second tuna really showing just how hard it is to catch these monsters, yet James had so much control and lasting so long on that second tuna! The whole crew worked together so well and the camera man was right on top of every moment catching awesome shot of the trip. And don't forget the clean and cook cutting up the tuna on a fish that size is always cool when you see just how much tuna is harvested. The cook had me so hungry seeing all the different way to make the rolls and the sliders looked real yummy as well. 👍
Awesome video, Ryan kudos to you, man and the crew that you were with. That was some epic, fishing and yes, the demonstration crab is made from Pollock. I just watched a video on it with the a huge ship out fishing for Pollock for like a month in any way. Another awesome video. Thank you, I really appreciate it. I'm sitting here in the Arctic cold in northern Michigan by Canada. So I appreciate these. These videos that you do in the places you guys go
INSANE footage! I’ve seen these guys hooked up on the water. Mad respect for them! They make the impossible, possible. And…. they do it over and over again! Exposing the ghost! Right on guys!
I've been following those guys for a while! Awesome fkn video dude! I'm out of Long Island and headed to Jersey to target these giants, went at em' for hours and sadly didn't connect. Only more motivation to bag one soon! Incredible video bro, can't believe I can watch this for free lol.
Great video Ryan! I used to think I wanted to try this. I’m good with Yellowfin 😅. What an epic video! The videos you have been posting are journeys with you documenting the hunt for big fish. Just FANTASTIC! Stay safe out there brother.
❤Awsome video !!! Great job on the sushi get together as a Jersey tuna , bass, fisherman, so excited to see you had a fantastic fishing experience here in the mid Atlantic region!
@ I was tired when I responded, this was a little long for most videos, but your story telling Kicks Ass as always, so I had to watch the whole video until 2am.
This was sick. I am stoked to see a video of how to do the spinning tackle for bluefin. We still run bridled live baits on bent butts down here in SE NC but hopefully one day we can cast plugs and NLBN for the big girls down here. Congrats and loved the vid
I have to say I have mad respect for you catching a big tuna on a spinning tackle because I’ve caught 30 and 40 pound yellowfin on 30 pound braid on standup spin and it is absolutely murder on your forearm mostly and of course your lower back and everything else but really the arm gets it so bad. I don’t know how you made it through this fight. You are a freaking beast of a man!
Ryan Thanks Marine Corps brother for all the videos you share with us and definitely love the top water Popper bites are the best in the fishing world that's for damn sure
EPIC VIDEO!!!! i follow Tuna Junkies!!!! love their style of fishing!! STELLAS BABY 💪💪, James on the 18K Stella💪💪👌👌.... Welcome to the north east brother. enjoyed every second of the video....
Ryan, these Bluefin will break your heart as well as your back. You can do everything perfect and sometimes it doesn't matter. You fought the good fight. Your Daiwa held up great against those Stellas!
Awesome video. You did a great job displaying our fishery in New Jersey, but you missed our best fishery Tautog known as tog. Looks like you’re gonna have to make return trip to experience the tog fishery.
That's just say it started off major chaos in high volume❤ then we have the agony of defeat🤦♀️ Let's not leave out memories very nice memories💪 And then a great harvest to be enjoyed by many awesome video. Happy holidays from my family to all of yours.🙏🏻
You gotta go hit Prince Edward’s Island up in Canada one of these days. Biggest bluefin in the world. A lot of old timers say the fish there are impossible to land on spinners cause there so big. Would be sick for u to prove them wrong
Just come to mid coast maine in the late summer. We've got plenty of giants from 700 - 900 lbs would be fun to see you guys hook one on a jig. My biggest fish this summer was 950 but on a 130
welcome back to Jerz! great stuff as always... little nicer on the release of those bigger stripers brutha! the dinks can be tossed... slot and up make sure they're good to go. they are our 'snook' ...
Don’t feel bad Ryan. The Skipper lost that fish. He needs to watch the line angles and not let the line angle under the boat or anywhere near the motors. Just my observation, not trying to be nasty. Great video 👍👍👍👍
hahahah I agree 🤣 the right tackle could make a 50 lb Tuna feel like a freshwater bass 😜 With the right tackle, a 2 lb bonita can feel like a 5000 lb sea monster 🤣 ... at least fun level without the pain hahah
I fish salmon and Halibut, with the occasional albacore tuna, in Washington state. Man I wish I could go fish blue fin with the guys. I love making toro and Otoro/ akami sushi n sashimi. One day I’d love the chance to slay a BF tuna like this. Much respect
Now I get it, THAT'S why you do all those deadlifts. I know I've said this before, but your voiceovers put your videos in a class by themselves from all the other RUclipsrs ... I'd put them on the same level as Flip Pallot's famed "Walker's Cay Chronicles" and you're doing it without the benefit of a copywriter. You're erudite and a credit to your Gator education LOL. No, seriously, Your videos are consistently informative, entertaining and have quickly become must-see viewing -- Salt Water Sportsman magazine has recognized that and so have your other sponsors. If you ever find your way back up here to the Florida Panhandle during cobia or tarpon season, hit me up and we'll have lunch.
Ryan, the one you lost. Some fish have been caught before. And learn from near death experiences what to do. That fish had some tricks up its sleeves. When they death spin in 60’ circles 3 feet from the surface. They know what they’re doing.
These tuna trips are absolutely fantastic! I really appreciate everything you do for the angling community. I have a bit of a question-I'm an artist starting a career in painted stained glass, and I'd love to find a way to give back to the fishing and outdoor community. My focus has been on wilderness and ocean scenes, game fish feeding, and birds hunting. Ryan, do you or anyone watching know of any places on the East Coast that do art consignments? Or perhaps you’re ever looking for giveaway prizes for contests? Or maybe you know a bait shop that has made space for artwork? I’m hoping to build a network of locations where I can show and vend my art from New York to Florida. I’d be happy to email pictures of my work-it’s quite unique and would definitely capture attention. Thanks in advance for any replies here or messages with suggestions or help!" Happy New Year all!
So out of a curiosity standpoint what would have happened to the fish if it was over 73? Can it be sold commercially if they have the proper permits, or just toss it back overboard?
Dude that was on the captain during end game, he needs to move the boat! You did fine there... Captain needs to move the boat when the line gets close to the motors.... was nothing you did wrong ive caught hundreds of bluefins...
No, its the fact they're not uncatchable on this gear, it's just not recommended, how would like to be on a humongous fishing on inadequate gear, that's where conventional gear comes in, it's so much better at catching big fish than spinning gear.
Love the video but they are essentially killing the fish using inadequate gear. I can go catch a steelhead on an ice fishing rod or a tarpon on a crappie rod and it will take forever too. Not the right gear.
The most difficult fish to catch is a human being, because the fish caught is taken from the water to death and the gospel of Jesus Christ fishes men gives death to life. 👉 Matthew 4:18-20 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon, called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting their nets into the sea, because they were fishermen; And he said unto them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men. Then they, immediately leaving the nets, followed him. John 5:24-26 - Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in Him who sent me has eternal life, does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. 👉Believe in Jesus and ask God for forgiveness and be a child of God!
When you lost that fish that's poor driving the driver should always pay attention to the line n move boat so it never has a chance to get into the motors what a rookie play sry you dealt with that
Great fish great vid awesome fishing. But how many times can one person hear LETS GO, and EPIC come on world stop being followers, be yourself and stop being stupid sheep to todays dumb trend words, ever where you go on YT this is EPIC and LETS GO gets to be too much everywhere you watch.
