Theo and Josh of Stack Audio are great examples of true British HiFi mastership, bravo. Excellent products and company.
Hi Paul - I just discovered your channel - very nice! I'm intrigued that you rate these feet better than the universally acclaimed IsoAcoustics Orea - so they must be good! I have had good results with washing machine isolation feet and my KEF Reference 3 2's are standing on them as we speak. I use them under my equipment too, so who knows what benefits a purpose-made audio-grade isolator could bring. You are IMHO absolutely correct about the noise aspect and have been blown away by improvements caused by keeping RF and mains-borne crud away from the system. The physical vibration aspect whether ground-borne, speaker-induced or sympathetic vibration is a further bane in our lives. Indeed an Audiophile's work is never done! A never- ending quest.
I am not one to constantly swap equipment (had wives, children and pets to feed) but do believe in the tweaking to eke out the last drop of performance from what one has. And if you do chnage equipment later, you can usually keep the tweaks. Great channel! All the best, Rob in Switzerland
Hope you feel better soon Paul. Thanks or another interesting product review.
Jim🏴🙂
Have the speaker auva’s… really good. Just ordered the system feet too.
I may just try a set of these.
Get well soon Paul
I hope someone does a direct comparison between these feet, the IsoAcoustics Gaia feet and the Boenicke SwingBase. Which rather than absorbing vibrations employs an entirely different methodology. All have received good reviews. Perhaps it's a case of there being more than one way to improve speaker fidelity but a comparison would be of interest.
Why does your sound track keep clipping/cutting out? It only happens when I watch your video's.
Michael.
Carry on the good work.
Simplyphysics Tone Cones and V2 Decouplers, also Isopods
8/10 for that money is good enough for me.
Hi Paul, Good video. Have you used any SPL meter to get a reading before and after using the Stack Auva .
I'd like to see what a oscilloscope has to say about these!!🤔
They work. I live in apartment town home upstairs. My speakers would shake the floor and those low frequencies travel far into neighbor's homes. These style pucks settled down that boomy bass
Youisten music with a oscilloscope ? Interesting.
Set of 3 or 4 ?
Brilliant intro - had to subscribe lols - The funny thing is I have the Flu at the moment
@5:55 I would love a view like that from my home.
I use bog roll for my speakers (and I'm not kidding).
I have to ask so if I put these under my amp I will here a diffrence?
If you want to hear a difference you'll probably convince yourself you do hear a difference.
The more you pay the more difference you hear.
Have you ever wondered why not a single reviewer who claims to be able to hear things never actually makes a video demonstrating that they can do what they claim?
I challenge anyone who claims they can hear a difference between isolation feet to pass the double blind test, SHOW us you can.
If you can't SHOW it, you don't know it.
I noticed the Peggy Lee album. Very early in my counting of my wife I took her to the Vine Street Bar and Grill in Hollywood to see Peggy Lee. A Jazz club, it was an intimate and enjoyable venue. She was very well on in years and her voice had long since lost a lot of its vibrance. I was embarrassed for her. That said, I imagine it is hard to abandon the stage and if you enjoy performing, keep at it regardless of outcome.
I assumed that isolation feet were to be placed under the equipment's regular feet but you have them under the chassis. ??
Yes, that's correct. It couples more successfully that way. Feet are just another fence to hurdle before you get to the problem, the chassis itself.
Hi, so best results , placed direct to chassis !!! or on the amplifiers damped feet ?
How do the Stack feet compare to those from HRS?
I'd be curious to know that as well.
Is it April already?
Looking out of the window and the continued freaky weather. God knows what month it is.
Apparently one of the most obvious examples of the effect of microphony was the Live Aid concert where coloured 'banding' could be seen at times on the video - or is this just an urban myth?
News to me but interesting all the same.
“The sound quality of isolation feet”. Say that to an ordinary person and look at his/her reaction 😅😂
An “ordinary person “? Can’t say I’ve ever met one of those.
You can buy a lot of Blu-tac for £200
Very simple Copy of ISO Acoustics Gaia and Aura Series…
ISO Acoustics products, and Stack Audio products are two completely different technologies, each of them patented
