Went on about this show to my parents as I absolutely love the movie. And turns out my parents brought tickets for me as an early birthday present. Went with my mum and we both loved it.
Dear Evan Hansen is a story that I can relate to, not just the story but Evan himself and seeing a show that represents me as a person really showed me that I need to appreciate life just a little bit more and to just be myself.
The casting for this show was just Phenomenal.
Ryan Kopel played Evan Hansen for this show and he was brilliant. He showed played the character so well and his vocals were on point. His facial expressions and emotions aswell, were fantastic. I really did feel like I was connected to Evan. Would love to see him perform again.
Lauren Conroy played Zoe Murphy and just like Ryan she was brilliant. Everything about her was just spot on.
Killian Thomas Lefevre played Connor Murphy and I must say he was my favourite in the show. I don't know why, he's also my favourite in the movie. Even though he's meant to be a let's say horrible character, he played Connor so well.
Tom Dickerson as Jared Kleinman was perfect casting. He was sooo funny. I don't know what else to say, he was just funny.
Vivian Panka played Alana Beck. She was one of the people I wanted to see most in this show as I watched her on the DVD in Heather's the musical and she did not disappoint. So good.
Alice Fearn played Heidi Hansen and OMG! She was amazing. One of my favourite songs is Good For You and she made it even better than I could imagine. And overall she was brilliant.
Helen Anker played Cynthia Murphy and Richard Hurst played Larry Murphy. They were as good as everyone else and played there characters so well.
Even the Ensembles were good.
Overall this show is a must see. Even if you don't know what it's about you need to see this show. I can tell you now that if you see it, it will probably end up turing out to be your favourite show, coz it's definitely my favourite.
