Most if not all legendaries/mythicals have one universal name, so he would have always known the Shaymin was there regardless of the language he picked. However, a more fair question would be "From left to right, what are the [any non english language] names of these 3 Pokemon?" If nothing has a universal name then its a pure gamble if you don't recognize any of them.

I just feel like this would cover a good chunk of Pokémon, such as Gengar with Night Shade, any Legendary/Mythical, any Starters (most likely), and just good Pokémon overall. Plus, you would know a majority of where they come from
These videos have entertained my never ending pokémon hyperfixation for years I was thinking at 2am as one does that you guys should choose starters by their resistences/immunities! Intimidate has been one of the best abilities since abilities were added to the game.
I've been saying for years we need a special version of intimidate called psyche out I think it may be better than intimidate
