Can you imagine what would have happened without Ref's there to save Dave? He jumped Probert from behind, and still got his ass handed to him.

The refs never saved Dave, you blind dumb ass 😂 Probert only winged Brown down temporarily. Brown easily got up on his skates and power wrestled Bob down on his knees. The refs then pulled them apart. Get your eyes checked. Fool 😂 Bob Probert was once interviewed live on television on Michael Landsberg off the record. Michael Landsberg asked Probert? Who is the toughest guy you ever fought? Probert answered Dave Brown . Bob paused a bit and named Stu Grimson as the runner-up. Michael Landsberg responded "So those guys were really tough." Probert also mentioned that Tie Domi was tough for his size. Michael Landsberg asked Probert? Did you ever feel sorry for a guy you beat? Probert answered Bob McGill, I took him out for beers after the game. Michael Landsberg asked Probert? Who is the toughest guy in the NHL presently? Probert answered George Laraque. Get educated Ace Ventura Blunder boy... 😂

You don't have a clue of what you're taking about. Probert picked his spots and fought fought Jeff Beaukaboom earlier in this game. Brown was sent out to fight Probert . Probert declined the 1st challenge. 2nd time Brown was sent out to fight Probert as seen on the video. Brown is chasing and shadowing Probert all over the arena. Dodger Bob doesn't want a piece of Brown and gives Brown a shove. Brown retaliated with a cross check. He wants to beat on Probert's face. Probert stumbled forward towards Brown. Then the fists start swinging. Brown hit Probert with 5 solid punches. Probert hit Brown with 4 punches and won a slugout. First Time Brown went down Probert pulled him down. He missed the first swing of target. Probert knocked Brown down only for a couple seconds and Brown was up fast grabbing Probert to continue battle. Probert did win but he took his lumps as well. Probert looked like a mess as he skated towards the penalty box. He came out of a tornado 🌪. Few guys beat Brown in his career and they got beat up trying to beat Brown. Later in that game Brown was sent out a 3rd time for the rematch but Probert declined the challenge as usual. His face was still sore and I bet he didn't want to chance getting his face smashed up from a pissed off Dave Brown. Bob Probert was once interviewed on Michael Landsberg off the record interview live on television. Michael Landsberg asked Probert who is the toughest guy you ever fought. Probert answered Dave Brown, he paused a bit and named Stu Grimson as the runner up. Michael Landsberg asked Probert did you ever feel sorry for a guy you beat. Probert answered Bob McGill, I took him out for beers after the game. The clear majority of comments on this fight don't have a clue of what they are talking about. Probert, Tie Domi and Stu Grimson all revealed that Brown was the toughest guy each of them fought. Grimson and Domi added that Brown hit them the hardest ever. Gino Odjick was once interviewed on Michael Landsberg off the record interview live. I bet that Probert's ears were ringing for a while after fighting Brown in round 1 and round 2. 2 tough guys for sure... Brown was a dangerous guy to mess with. By the way Brown never surprised jumped Probert in this fight. Probert knew that Brown was coming for him after Bob fought Jeff Beaukaboom . It's common sense, Brown never sneaked up behind him. Brown was after him 3 separate times in this game. I've spoken with a guy who actually attended this game live at Joe Louis arena on Jan 9,1991. He told the fight was a beauty. Brown did try to get Bob to fight again in a rematch but Probert declined again. So much for your Brown never went near Probert story... LMAO lol 😂 Probert stayed clear of Brown. Brown forced Dodger Bob to fight earlier in that game . He corralled him and started whaling on his face. That's what happens to cowardly guys who picked fights with Brown's teammates. I'm a Habs fan fellow Nilan won 1 fight in about 7 fights vs Brown. Don't make us laugh 😂 Chris Simon vs Brown round 1 was a legendary slugout out draw... Both guys are up straight throwing bombs with no fear. Not hunched down like a turtle hiding because you can't take punches like real men do. Example watch Probert in this fight. Watch Probert in the hunched Bach head way down like a turtle in hiding vs Chris Simon. Sim fed Probert with so many lefts Probert was begging fir a right. Head down like a scared turtle. LMAO. Simon vs Brown round 2 was a narrow win for Simon, he landed more and better punches. Simon was a wuss in fights when he bailed and would fall down on purpose. He fell down on purpose in both fights vs Brown. Simon was tough and a young buck.

Dropped & Rocked …. In what was the most significant bout in In the Golden Era of NHL Heavyweights! This bout was for the Belt!
Brown was a one trick Pony … jump your opponent.. land the first big shot…. Get it to the ice & claim victory.
Brown had No chin…. No stamina… wore artificially tightened sleeves & needed the “ Jump “ to win his fights!
For you new comers to the fight game… 1990 on up…. That Belly Ache about Probie coming out of his sweater… This was a counter move for those that would seatbelt him by pulling his sweater up & over to neutralize his arms… Probie never wore Goalie cut jerseys like Marty & Ray… didn’t wear cut away sleeves like Twist & Kordic…. Or artificially tight sleeves like Brown! …. If he got out of his sweater.. So be it!
He didn’t feel he need an Edge to win his fights as he was the total package …. Hence, The King!!! Nuff said!!!!!

Well there's Probert hammering Brown right into the ice, and that's after Brown jumped him. Probert had two fantastic attributes: his stamina and his chin. He could go two minutes, three minutes easily without tiring. And he could take punches. Man could he take punches. Watch the fight between him and Gaetz. Actually Probert never wanted a piece of Brown. Brown challenged Probert earlier in this game. Probert declined the challenge. Brown was sent out a 2nd time to settle it because Probert fought Jeff Beaukaboom earlier in this game. Brown was doing his job, pound skulls . Probert fans think that Brown surprised jumped Probert, that's completely false . Probert knew that Brown was coming for him. It's seen on the videos. Brown is stalking him all over the arena. Dodger Bob had no choice and gave Brown a shove. Brown retaliated with a cross check. Probert escaped death ☠ and won. Brown grabbed him and started whaling on his face. Probert pulled Brown down to the ice. Probert missed his first swing. The Red Wings announcer had a few too many trips to the beer stand. He said he catches him , which was wrong. They both went toe to toe. Probert got 4. The last one was on the chin. Brown hit him with 2 big hooks and 1 lesser punch. Notice that Probert was hunched down hiding his jaw. He was getting bashed, and felt those shots. Brown got winged and temporarily went down on one knee. Brown easily stood up and aggressively grabbed Probert. Brown wrestled Probert to his knees on the ice. That's why the refs intervened and pulled them apart. The refs never rescued Brown from going down temporarily. That's why at the end Probert was on the left on his knees and Brown was on his knees as well. People think Probert destroyed Brown which is not true. Why was Probert on his knees at the end. Either Brown had a chin of steel with reserve power to easily get up or Probert needed more Wheaties to try and keep Brown down. This is a win for Probert but I don't think it was a rescued TKO punch that ended this fight. The fight ended because Brown grabbed him aggressively and wrestled Probert down on his knees. Bob Probert was once interviewed on Michael Landsberg off the record interview live on television. Michael Landsberg asked Probert who is the toughest guy you ever fought. Probert answered Dave Brown and Stu Grimson as the runner up. Regarding Probert trying to draw a penalty is false. Probert was corralled and forced to fight whether he wanted to or not. Fight or get wrecked. Brown did try to get him to fight a rematch later in this game. Probert declined again... a die hard Probert fan fellow who attended this game said it clearly. He also acknowledged the Probert vs Jeff Beaukaboom earlier this game. If Probert fans think Brown was scared or not wanting a rematch? Brown was the most dangerous fighter to drop the gloves.
